I am a down to earth, funny, intelligent, and passionate guy who doesn't take myself too seriously. I love sleeping in on Sundays, reading and drinking coffee in bed, going to movies, and watching football, The Voice, or Top Chef.Something good to know about me is that my family and friends are an important part of my life. I am a very loyal friend and person. I have solid relationships with my family and friends, and I love seeing my friends and family at least a couple of times a month for a long dinner out, with lots of laughter and good conversation.My family has definitely shaped the value I place on family.-fashioned: I'm looking for a partner who also values family, whatever that may look like. I like first date environments that can be brief if they need to be, like coffee - in the event that one person realizes early on the fit isn't there. But, I also like having the option to expand coffee into a long walk, to a restaurant for dinner possibly - in the event that there is a good fit, and conversation flows naturally.

The best way to describe myself is to list my favorite tv shows, to give you a feel for my personality. So here goes: Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Tonight Show/Jay Leno for laughs. Survivor, Amazing Race, Face Off, American Ninja Warrior for adventure.; Walking Dead for drama. I mostly see Sci-Fi & horror genre movies, sometimes RomComs. And as far as music, I'm big on top 40 from the ***'s up through today. I'm kind of a homebody. I do better in small crowds unless I'm around friends or coworkers. I enjoy my quiet, simple life and really just want to add someone special into the mix. I love the outdoors, hiking, body surfing, jogging etc. but I also am a totally homebody. I like to try and spend one day at home per week. I feel it is good for the soul. I enjoy cooking a great deal, almost as much as I like to go out for meals. In my youth I did a lot of traveling. I can't wait to return to that. Now it is time to work hard so that I can afford to do in style again one day. Having a coffee or a glass of wine, is a nice first date but I find doing something a little different like going boating or a simple hike is much cooler.
