I'm a laid back guy who usually goes with the flow but still knows what he wants. Into creativity, music, free thought, goofiness, and those who know what they want out of life, as I do! I love to go see live music, and seek a girl who isn't hesitant to go to a loud venue and stay out till the wee hours on a weeknight, but who also digs quiet nights at home...don't get me wrong, diversity is important! Beer or wine...fast food or Zagat rating...movie on the couch or hitting the town...1st class or coach...it's all the same to me!I worked in the music industry for a lot of years, so I act younger than I should. I like to enjoy life. Not to say I'm not responsible, but I refuse to move to a suburb because I'd rather spend time doing things I like to do *** spending time in my car commuting. I drink socially and smoke (I know I should quit the latter...), but am not interested in anyone who will try to change that. Please accept me as I am or don't accept me at all. I'm looking for a girl with the same attitude toward life.I believe that at the base of a great relationship is a great friendship. Let's face it...take out the sex and what you have is basically a great friendship. So I also think that there needs to be a great amount of common ground (social, political, emotional beliefs and interests). But while 2 people need to have a commonality to work well together, like a great friendship, there also needs to be some differences between the two in order to keep things interesting. That said, what I'm looking for right now is people to become friends with. If it develops into more, than great! If it doesn't, then great!Here's some facts about me to give you an idea.-I LOVE music. It's been one of the most important passions in my life. It's helped shape who I am. I listen to all kinds.-Downhill mountain biking. The only real "sport" I've continued to do. And golf to some degree.-I brew my own beer and love craft brews.-I have a couple of tattoos and plan to get more. Just have to wait until I've finalized the ideas.-I wish I had more time to read books.-Coffee is absolutely necessary, but doesn't need to be hyphenated with any other words when ordered.-I've had a clean shaven face only once in the past 15 years.-I like to cook and would like to get better at it.-I like learning new things.-I prefer being a "behind the scenes" person over being the life of the party.-I'm a neat freak.-I believe you can learn a lot about a person by the friends they keep.I could go on and on...but I don't want to give it all away here! I hope this description of myself depicts who I truly am...because I don't want to waste any of your time...and I don't want any of mine wasted either! Hope to hear from some cool gals! Up for just about anything that allows two to talk. Something fun is ALWAYS good, as is a couple drinks, or a coffee and a walk. Always looking for a good time!

    My hobbies for the past year have been mainly around the arena. I play hockey but this year I started coaching as well. Its a pretty good test of your will and your ability to manage many different types of personalities. I always played as a kid, so I know when I was a young 'un many people volunteered their time and energy to help me. I consider this to be a bit of a way of giving back, paying it forward. The kids are a lot of fun too. I love to travel. Rarely do I get a week or two off and stay in town. Cant. Stop. Going. Back. The heat...the humidity...the swamps....the gators. I like going to live shows.... I prefer these smaller venues, though they are small in numbers. Hole-in-the-wall-dive-bar-show...Im in!I do enjoy a fine pint every so often. I do enjoy trying new beer from all over the world. These days there seems to be a number of establishments in town with a very good selection of these brews. Some Ive been to...some I have yet to try. Im workin on it. Always. I am also trying to broaden my wine palate. Its going quite slow though. Ill get there. I have a job that is a good one but it does not consume me nor does it define me. I hang it on the door when I leave everyday. You are not your job, car, or any other material possession. If you are, those objects own you, not the other way around.
