About Me

Well, where to begin? Of course this is always fun. You practically have to work on an "About Me" section for dating websites like a research project. You have to look within and make sure you represent yourself with the words you choose. You have to nearly almost use marketing techniques to grab someone's attention. But at the same time you have to make sure you complete the objective, to make sure the RIGHT people are interested! It figures I would use an analogy like that, you see I am a full-time student in community college at this time. I am undecided whether I want to stay at the college I'm at and graduate with my Associate's before transferring to a state SUNY school, or just transfer. At that point where I'm trying to make critical decisions about my college career, but I have a few good ideas of where I'm headed.; Design, with a concentration in Graphic Design. After obtaining the Bachelor's degree, I will start looking for work. You see, the conflicting part for me is that I would really love to teach someday (at the college level) but with any teaching position I feel you would be doing your students a disservice by teaching without real world experience. Something I noticed a lot about my teachers and professors throughout the years is many of them jumped right into education. I feel like if I am going to be teaching people, I should be able to offer them real world experience and guide them towards being actually successful with first hand experience. (plus you know, the whole working to make actual GOOD money to pay off those pesky loans before settling into an unsatisfying teacher's salary would be nice as well lol)Currently my only employment while attending college is a Studio Assistant position within the school. Right now I'm scheduled for taking max credits, with multiple art classes and Honors program courses going on, so my workload from the school is kind of preventing me from finding employment. But once I move out of my current room mate living situation in October, I'd like to see how my schedule goes and try to find work. I have plenty of experience, I've worked in retail and food services since I was 17. But let's face it, the money you make in jobs like that isn't enough to live off of, and often times especially the younger you are, you're worked far harder than the pay you receive so its always high stress! That's how I ended up going to school so late in the game. I decided it was time to get an education and make something of my life!Looking at everything I just typed, I realized I went on and on about college. I'm sorry, but it goes along with the whole content thing. College is kind of my life right now! As far as me personally goes, I am a "good guy". I love to laugh and make others laugh, very easy going. I'm 26 and I act like it. In that stage where I've got some living and experiences under my belt enough to make me wise and mature for my age. I know what I'm doing with my life, and have my goals in a row ready to be faced and accomplished. In a relationship, I'm that guy you can count on to wake you up with a smile on my face. I've been told me good mood is contagious, and you'll find it takes quite a bit to get me down! I'd like to do the normal thing here please, chat, get to know each other. Then move on to exchanging numbers, text, then of course that magical first phone call. And then we keep clicking? So of course we meet. Go out on that equally magical first date. Keep dating, get closer, maybe even start to fall in love a little? Anyone remember that thing? lol And of course, be in a relationship with Mr. Right!Jeez, it sounds so easy when you put it into a couple sentences haha But I think we all know relationships are hard work. But I'm a hard worker! I want something, I GO for it. Maybe I'll go for you? ;)Well, I've gone on and on about myself...haha I'm not normally like this, but hey this little (okay, big now) box of text is all I have at my disposal other than the pics to catch your interest. I want the right guy in my life, ready to love and share my life with! Do I sound like a guy you want to get to know more? Hit me up!Of course, the funny thing about these sites is....you never know if someone is "talking" to someone. You know what I mean, we start talking to a guy (and I myself am guilty of doing it) and all of a sudden other guys are messaging you, even though you're starting to get to know someone who could potentially be great. So I'll put something right on the bottom of here if I've got a "fish on the line" so to speak haha*Profile last updated - Aug. 17, ****Pics last updated - Aug. 14, ***Hmm....just got done typing that wall of text in "About Me" so I'll come back and edit this later....haha

I am a fun guy who works as a web and media designer/developer for a property management company.I’m really good at making people laugh, listening, making lists, ice hockey, web stuff, cat sitting. I love music, the outdoors, simplicity and high quality films and tv. Mostly I am looking for an ltr with a guy who has a plan for himself and is on his way to getting his life together. Anything other than a movie theatre. Its tough to get to know you there.

*updated Oct 4, ***I am a nice guy. I am really friendly and I've been told I'm pretty easy to get along with. I can be a little introspective and quiet when you first are getting to know me, because I have always been a little shy with new people, but I open up pretty quickly once I have gotten to know someone. I really try to see the best in everyone, and I make the effort to really make things work. But I'm also not someone who will put up with a lot of B.S.. I am honest, brutally so if need be, and I will address things head on if they bother me, or are causing problems. Most people appreciate that about me because I don't let stuff just be a problem that is never fixed and ruins a relationship, I also don't give up on people easy. I am also determined. I set my goals, and I get what I want, and I don't give up easily. If something is important to me, I will accomplish it. And I will also help other people get what is important to them, because I like helping people and don't think that my happiness should ever come at the cost of someone else's. I am a pretty smart guy too (but not a know it all, I know when to admit I am wrong or don't know something). My education is very important to me, I had to take some time off from getting my degrees after high school to work full time because of some personal/family issues so I am still working on my masters in clinical social work. But I am working on it so that I can work in the area I have a passion for (mental health and counseling, especially with LGBTQ adolescents and young adults).I am also a very creative person and I appreciate other creative people. I love street fairs, cultural festivals, art shows, parks, the theater and museums. I love creating new things, and solving problems in new creative ways. I love it when other people share their work with me too. When I have down time and the energy to do it (grad school is not for the weak) I love to draw, paint, and write myself, and someday I would love to publish some of my work. When I just need to unwind from a week of volunteering, internship, and studying I love to hang out with friends, try new things, have new experiences, and have great conversations. I like to go out, and have fun, and be around lots of people and actually enjoy going out dancing with the right people (or all by myself if I just need to burn off some steam). But while the clubs can be fun I would rather be somewhere I can actually hear the person/people I'm with. I'm not really one for sitting in a movie theater, even with the big special effect movies I would rather wait for DVD and watch it with friends or cuddled up with someone special on the couch then sit in the movie theater. If I am staying in (which is really nice too... everyone needs their down time) I love to read or play video games. I'm partial to MMO's because I like playing with friends. And while I enjoy gaming, I am definitely a "real world comes first" person, so no in game even is ever going to come before actually spending time with real people. What am I looking forI am looking for a nice guy who shares interests with me. I really am looking for someone who can be a friend first. I know that sounds cheesy, but I really mean it. I want someone who shares my interest, who wants to talk and go do things that are fun together, who I can hang out with, rely on, and share things with. I want someone who will love me for the hopeless romantic and total nerd that I can be. I tend to fall for people in my head first (I'm more attracted to people then bodies), of course the physical aspects are important too, but I would much rather find a new friend that I enjoy being around that may have no relationship potential, then find someone I'm greatly attracted to but am bored by or cannot stand to be around. What I am looking to avoidI am not looking for someone just to hook up with. It happens, but I'm really looking for something more meaningful and long term. I am not looking for a project either. Have your head on your shoulders, have goals, know what you want to do with your life and be working towards it. You don't have to be there yet, but have an idea of where you are going. I'm not looking for someone who needs me to hold their hand and tell them what to do and how to do it, or someone who needs to be in constant contact to reassured that I am still with them and love them. Be sure of yourself, and be secure in your relationships. If I have spent the time to be with you and maintain a relationship with you, I am with you, I am honest with you, and I am loyal to you. And I expect the same. I like strong personalities and independent people. I don't need someone who needs me, I want someone who wants me and loves me.***Books: The Vampire Chronicles, The Dune Series, Farenheit 451, The Hunger Games TrilogyMovies: What Dreams May Come, Children of Men, V for Vendetta, Star Wars, Ten Inch Hero, The Fifth Element, Dogma, Cashback, Murder by Numbers, Mean Girls, Fight ClubLive Action Shows: Misfits, Being Human, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Charmed, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, Dr. Let's keep it simple. We can go get coffee or a drink and just get to know each other.
