Well hello, welcome to my pond.I am currently getting my masters in mental health counseling. However, sometimes I think of giving it all up, to become a stripper. Just kidding....maybe. I haven't had time to read a good book, in forever; except magazines on the toilet. I love 80's movies, horror and comedies. My current favorites are Bridesmaids and Excision.I watch a lot of television. Some of my favorites are: True Blood, American Horror Story, Shameless, Misfits, Skins, Raising Hope, Modern Family, Happy Endings.Musically, I am prone to both club and depressing chick music. If someone would produce a dubstep version of Patsy Cline, I would be all over that.I love to laugh and make people laugh.I have a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor.My biggest pet peeves, are unearned egos and people whom lack respect.There are no pedestals. I am mainly looking for quality over quantity, in the form of friendships. If anything grows, great, but I am currently out of fertilizer. I really hate writing about myself because I think there's no way to truly know a person until you meet them, but I'll do my best. I am a fun person who enjoys hanging out in a variety of settings...whether it be at a bar with friends, playing poker in someone's house, sitting around the kitchen table with family or watching the game somewhere. I'm pretty "go with the flow" and tend to not like making my own plans, but that's not to say it doesn't happen sometimes. I am relatively intelligent I believe...I graduated from a good college with good grades for what it's worth. I enjoy good conversations on all topics and think especially nowadays that it's refreshing to hear new ideas and opinions. The only rule I have is that if we disagree on something, it's not the end of the world. I respect other people's beliefs and I expect the same. I think I'm pretty funny although there are many members of my family and friends who are funnier than I. Hey, credit where credit's due. Typically weekends are spent with good drinks and good company with a lot of laughs. I am looking for someone who is good with hanging out in a group and enjoying the same. Obviously that won't be all the time as I believe some personal time is needed in a relationship also. I am not flamboyant or effeminate and I am not looking for that in a man either. If I wanted to date a woman, I'd be straight. I like a guy who is into sports, cars or other masculine activites. If you spend your weekends sewing or picking out color palettes for future outfits, we are not a match.I enjoy writing, bars, movies and music. I live on the beach and in the summertime can usually be found there on weekends. I have pretty varied tastes when it comes to music and film and am basically willing to give anything a go once. Overall not a huge rap fan, but there are exceptions.I'm pretty much an open book and if you are still interested after this long-winded section, then definitely drop a line. I'm ideally looking for dates or a relationship but friends are always welcome. As stated above, I'm not big on being responsible for plans. However, I think dinner and drinks is pretty hard to mess up and gives each person a chance to talk and get to know each other. Obviously there are loads more activities that allow for this, so surprise me. Most original idea gets 25 extra points.
