About Me

Look for the good in others and often times you'll find the best in yourself. This is something I try live by. I've experienced a lot of different things in life and being able to recognize that life will bring you through heartache, joy, sorrow and pain, to only realize that you're a better person for having endured that makes it worth the journey. That might seem kind of deep and what not but I'm just a decent guy who just tries to make the most of what he has. I've been described in the past by others as "down to earth" "laid back" "funny/sarcastic". I'm not sure I'd agree with all that but I like to think that I try to live up to what others make of me. I'm a hard-working honest guy, who sometimes just likes to cut loose, and just hang out with friends and go through a couple of bottles of wine with good conversation. I think that friendships are ultimately where you find happiness in your life, and I may not have a huge entourage or click that I associate with but I do have a few very close friends who mean the world to me. I think that doing so just handicaps the relationship and doesn't allow it to grow at it's own free will. I've got a ton of hobbies and interests, so I could be comfortable doing most anything. I've spent the last few years single, I believe mostly by choice but I am now putting myself out there and would defnitely like to meet new people. So hit me up. Dating for me has been a variety of things but I do like to be creative and coming up with something new and interesting for a first date is something I do like to put a good bit of thought in to. Meeting up over a cup of coffee that turns into dinner and a walk in the park is great too. I don't put up expectations for a first date or let alone a 2nd but I do expect to be treated respectfully, as I would treat that person.

    I really hate writing about myself because I think there's no way to truly know a person until you meet them, but I'll do my best. I am a fun person who enjoys hanging out in a variety of settings...whether it be at a bar with friends, playing poker in someone's house, sitting around the kitchen table with family or watching the game somewhere. I'm pretty "go with the flow" and tend to not like making my own plans, but that's not to say it doesn't happen sometimes. Obviously that won't be all the time as I believe some personal time is needed in a relationship also. I am not flamboyant or effeminate and I am not looking for that in a man either. If I wanted to date a woman, I'd be straight. I like a guy who is into sports, cars or other masculine activites. If you spend your weekends sewing or picking out color palettes for future outfits, we are not a match.I enjoy writing, bars, movies and music. I live on the beach and in the summertime can usually be found there on weekends. I have pretty varied tastes when it comes to music and film and am basically willing to give anything a go once. Overall not a huge rap fan, but there are exceptions.I'm pretty much an open book and if you are still interested after this long-winded section, then definitely drop a line. I'm ideally looking for dates or a relationship but friends are always welcome. As stated above, I'm not big on being responsible for plans. However, I think dinner and drinks is pretty hard to mess up and gives each person a chance to talk and get to know each other. Obviously there are loads more activities that allow for this, so surprise me. Most original idea gets 25 extra points.
