I am a very down to earth and honest person. I am also a very hard worker, a great Mom, and a very good friend. I don't have a million friends, but I love and cherish dearly the ones that I do have. Mine are 23, 21, 18 and 13... 3 boys and a little girl. Two are in college and two are at home. My ex and I have joint custody and the 2 younger children go back and forth between the 2 households.My kids are very active in sports and I would love to meet someone who wouldn't mind hanging out with me at some football, softball and basketball games. My main goal in life has always been to be the very best mom I could be. I take parenting very seriously and I am very good at it. I love all children and they seem to pick up on that and like me very much in return. Right now my life evolves around their activities. I graduated from GA Tech in ***, but never really used my degree. I got married right out of college and started having kids shortly after.My daily life pretty much consists of working, working out, and spending time with my kids. I LOVE to work out and hope to meet somebody who would also be interested in that, although that is not mandatory. I do some sort of cardio 6 or 7 days a week and I do weights 4 to 5 times a week. I am 48 years old and probably in the best physical shape of my life, and it is important to me to maintain that.I really am hoping to meet my best friend!!! I want to be with somebody who enjoys my company as much as I enjoy their company. I want to be excited about getting together and spending time together, whether it is to go for a day hike, go for a run, ride the golf cart, go to the farmers market, take a nap, out to dinner for Thai food, or just stay in and cook and watch a good movie. I am very low maintenance. I don't require much. I am not crazy about shopping, although I do have a favorite consignment store that I like to go to. I love current country music; not so crazy about the old stuff. I also like classic rock.I was raised Jewish but I have been a Christian for a very long time. I have raised my children as Christians. God is very important in my life. I have struggled with my faith at times, but I do believe that He is the reason we are here. I have recently been attending church regularly, which feels really good. It would be nice to share that experience with a significant other. I do believe in true love, though, and I am not going to settle for anything less just to have a boyfriend. I would rather be alone than to do that. I was married 19 years and have been divorced for 7 years. I am a little quiet and shy at first but I warm up pretty quickly. I've been told that I am very easy to get along with. I'm not crazy about this whole dating thing. It feels like a whole lot of work. I know it will be worth it though, when I meet the right guy. I've met a lot of really nice ones, just not Mr. Right. I've never signed up to an online dating site, never felt it was for me...am still not convinced it is, BUT I have seen friends meet really good quality people on here so I've decided to give it a try. So here goes....wish me luck!! I'm a pretty uncomplicated woman. Like to keep things light and stress free. Love to laugh, am quick witted, and have been told I have a good sense of humor. I am about peace of mind above all else and am quite comfortable being by myself enjoying the company of family and friends if that's what is required to attain it. I do have a love for Live music and have many friends who are musicians and do my best to support them and local music. My work is important to me. I love what I do. I believe in working smart not hard so I do arrange my schedule to have ample time off. Downtime is very important to me and it's vital that the man I spend time with has a healthy balance of work, family, and recreational time. So I am thrilled to be at a point in my life where I can be spontaneous when the mood strikes. I enjoy being able to pick up and go with little to no pre planning and it's this type of lifestyle I look forward to sharing with the right person.I've recently heard a term that I think suits me perfectly. I am a bona fide "Lazy Dater" and I totally own it! Meaning, I like to be able to meet for a drink after work, or a quick meal WITHOUT having to plan a day trip around it. So, I'm keeping my "area of exploration" down to preferably 30 mins drive time between "us". It's hard enough these days finding the time to do the things we HAVE to do let alone try to find the time to do the things we WANT to do.I do not date outside of my race. Nothing personal, I hope you understand. Nor do I date married men, and, yes, I consider Seperated to STILL be married. Something casual, stress free, with no expectations. I believe strongly in the physical/chemical attraction between people. Although I recognize the importance of an intellectual connection and it is VERY important to me, it is naive to believe some type of physical attraction is unimportant. So, coffee, lunch, maybe a drink after work, all seem like good starts to me after getting to know a little bit about each other first.
