I am a youthful, energetic woman who loves to laugh, enjoys a great glass of wine, hockey and any chance to be at the beach or on water (not necessarily in that order). I love music and movies, all types of food. I enjoy going out for an evening but can be just as happy sitting in front of a roaring fireplace cuddling, watching a movie or a hockey game.Now that my kids are independent and well on their way, I would like to travel to the Mediterranean and the Middle East. I picture myself sitting alone in a restaurant, while reading a Harlequin romance novel, the man of my dreams bursts in with a grand flourish, strides purposefully towards me, our eyes lock together and the corners of his mouth start to curl in a sly grin, he rips the bodice of my dress..........Now back to reality. Frankly anyplace where we can meet and talk and connect would be great. The idea is to enjoy the conversation and not feel like a job interview (or a Harlequin romance).

I'm a hard working, career woman. I love kids, but was never blessed with my own. I love all kinds of music and enjoy live performances. I've been known to attend music festivals and try to support live music when my schedule allows. Occasionally, I do community theatre, which can take much of my spare time - usually once a year. I love to laugh, play cards, and spend time with my fun, diverse circle of friends - and I do mean diverse. So, the guy I get involved with should be able to go from dress to casual / intelligent to silly easily. I'm not looking for crazy, thank you. Been there, done that - no more. I want someone who knows how to behave in a multitude of social settings. I'm not really sure exactly what type of guy I'm looking for. I just know my past choices have not been stellar. So I'm taking it slow. I'm not in a hurry. As I said, I'm a career woman and perfectly capable of taking care of myself. I do NOT need someone to take care of me. And you should be able to stand on your own two feet also - I will not get involved with someone I cannot respect.Let's see - my dog and I love to camp. My grandpa taught me to fish when I was five, so that's part of me too. I can just imagine how hard Papa would be laughing if he knew about this kind of fishing! LOL!!! Oh - and that's important too - a sense of humor. One of my life rules is at least one belly laugh a day.
