Definition of insanity: Doing the same thing, over and over, and expecting a different result. Hahaha, trying the meetville thing AGAIN!!I had quite the novel up on my profile last time, but am going to go about it a little differently, this time... More of an extended essay... ??I work in an office during the week. Not my dream job, but it pays the bills. On the weekends, I am a volunteer at a small local zoo. This is what I LOVE and what makes me happiest! Hoping to be able to be zookeeping full-time once season hits. I am def an outdoor girl. I need to be in nature to bring me back to center. I love being in the ocean, hiking, kayaking, exploring, digging, planting, building.I'm passionate about a lot of things - most importantly - equality among people, fairness, compassion, kindness, learning, and doing the right thing. I really enjoy learning about other cultures, religions, places.I have a hard time with closed-minded people.I am out-going, friendly, passionate, honest, loyal, adventurous, happy, mostly optimistic (although I do occasionally get irritated while driving -.. AAAAGHH!!), sarcastic, and smart. I have been married and divorced and don't feel the need to get married again, although I am not opposed to it. I don't have kids and I think I'm a little old to start that now, and am completely ok with that.I do have two cats and a rescue parrot who makes me laugh like nothing else!In the past ten years I have had a lucrative career in yacht financing, spent 3 years as a zookeeper at Lion Country Safari, and worked for a while as a stewardess on a 90ft yacht in the Bahamas. I'm not a vegetarian, but pretty close.I have owned a sailboat.I like to swim in the ocean.Sometimes my 'filter' doesn't work.I can be shy.I love camping - in a tent! I miss the mountains.I miss waves in the ocean.My brother is just about my favorite person in the world.Sometimes I curse to emphasize a point.I like to cook, but don't do it too often, it's no fun to cook for one.I've seen the Dalai Lama in person.I've seen the Grateful Dead in concert 3x (but I don't really remember!I love Indian food!I don't go to clubs.I have a terrible singing voice and will dance when I'm drunk.I don't drink often, but when I do, I drink tequila.My parents have been married for 46 years.I can use power tools.must make a note on my faith... Buddhist is probably closest to what I believe and attempt to practice, but I try to integrate the good of all religions into my life. If you have strong Christian beliefs, please know that we may have some differences in that regard. :) I am fit and am looking for the same. All of my pics are recent and look like me. I am 43 years old, 5'3", 110#. (People tell me I look mid-30's and I DON'T think I'm very photogenic)Please have more than one picture of you up, and pictures with hats and sunglasses don't count.     I consider myself lucky to have great friends, two beautiful daughters and a job I look forward to every day. The only thing missing is someone to share it with and that is why I'm here. I am a hopeless romantic and still believe that hopelessly, madly in love is a wonderful place to be. I am a happy person pretty much all the time and try to surround myself with people that have the same outlook. I don't make big things out of small things and I have no interest in drama. I believe it is remembering the little things in a relationship that make it successful and long lasting. I have done the online thing on and off for a while and it seems to have become less about finding someone and more a contest of numbers. I am in no rush to find a boyfriend or to get married again but I am on here with the intention of finding a relationship so please do not contact me if that is not your intention as well. The reality is that no matter how perfect someone seems on paper, you really won't know until you meet and see if you have that spark. Any place where you can sit, relax and actually hear each other speak makes for a great first date.
