A brief synopsis of me....I am a single mom, with great friends and my family and love to laugh. My kids are still youngish and they are my priority...and while my mom side and my own me side are separate, it is inevitable that should a connection exist, there will be some overlap. If this isn't in your comfort zone, then I am not for you. I enjoy being active and have been known to adventure and tackle a few challenges here and there. I am fit, but I am not ultra-fit or built like it, but definitely make staying active a big part of my life and make it happen daily. I am always looking at new ways to make that happen in fun ways. I like to think I'm quick witted and think I'm pretty good at dishing it out, and taking it. Sarcasm and witty banter is most definitely something that makes me smile. I am up front and honest and am only looking for the same. I can ask the hard question, give the hard answer and pretty much feel like it should just be told the way it is. For better or for worse, I wear my heart on my sleeve and my loyalty to my friends and family is unwavering. That said, I'm confident in what I want and what I have to offer and don't think it serves anyone to settle. I absolutely believe that you get what you give and that life is far too short to not take a few risks and go out on a few limbs...it's the only life we have and I kind of subscribe to the notion that I won't regret what I did...only what I chose not to try.I prefer an intimate group of friends to a room full of strangers, but am certainly able to hold my own in any venue. I can be reserved and somewhat shy by nature initially, but once I hit that ultimate comfort zone, watch out! Jeans and flip flops; little black dress and heels; business attire...all within my comfort zone.I have been here on and off at various times. I've met some nice people, remain great friends with some, but for me, I haven't made the connection I would like to, so here I am. My profile says that I am looking for a relationship...that's kind of a hard one. While ultimately I am, that will happen when it's the right time and the right connection and new friends can't really be a bad thing :)I have posted a pic and really ask the same, or if you aren't comfortable with that, please send one along. We all like to know who we are talking with :) Here's my black and white though....I am looking to meet someone that I connect with; someone to laugh and share fun times with; someone honest and open and real. I am not interested in flings or serial dating. I think life is nicer when you have that special someone to share the adventure with! When I meet that someone, I won't be choosing to date others, and ultimately, that someone should be of the same mindset. For me, it is also important that your past is your past. We all have the experiences that have shaped us over the years, some good, some bad. I also know there are always bumps in the road, but in general my bags are neatly packed, and I expect the same :)Okay...so apparently that wasn't so brief ;) Did I mention I can ramble? I would like to think that my last few years of single life have taught me a few things about myself.I've learned that patience is always a virtue, but sometimes too much can cause problems.I've learned that compromise is important but you also need to not be as flexible.I've learned that laughter is essential in everyday life along with hugs and kisses and hand holding.And most of all I have learned that you must must must communicate, no communication leads to confusion, leads to sadness, leads to misunderstandings and then everyone gets hurt.I'm a single mom who is involved in my childs life. My child will always be #1, never #2.I volunteer often for different things, they bring a bit of peace to my heart knowing I did something good for someone.I do enjoy different types of outings, movies, dinners out, music, comedy, or just a nice stroll somewhere to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. But you can't beat a nice quiet night in with a silly movie, a serious movie or just a plain old scary movie....and a nice bottle of wine. Spending time with that special someone is important to me, but I do realize that space is needed sometimes to regroup and breathe.I have chosen a serious relationship as my ultimate goal, but first ....gotta meet, gotta date, gotta see if we can even stand eachother. Unless of course someone has invented a time warp to get us past the awkward confusing part of dating and get to the good stuff!!

I have no time for victims of their own making, I have my own bed and I enjoy the sleep I get at night. Enjoy being alone, with friends/family stopping by to visit, while still wanting someone in my future to share my life with.My work keeps me away from home alot, so a person has to understand it is a job and but also my living. This has it's up & down's, time not working is always all the sweeter, come days off ;-) Enjoying being self-employed ;-)Working towards my dream of moving back to southern AB, and purchasing some land & retiring there. Miss the mountains I grew up in and breathing the fresh crisp air. Looking forward to visiting the hiking trails and old fishing holes once again. Ever been somewhere & it just feels right or that you feel like you have been there before?... I found it & going back! ;-)The kind of man I am hoping to get to know is...slim to fit, sorry pot bellies/bulky gym addicts scare me (guys I am a petite woman), no sugar daddies needed-I can support myself. Must like cats, I have 2 rescued purebred Bengals. I grew up with animals always around,whether house or farm, so enjoy most, only cats right now due to self sufficiency. Would like meet someone who respects their family and friends, with a bit of old school morals doesn't hurt either. I am big on sparks and initial attraction/intellect/character,...either they are present or they aren't. I always try to give any situation a chance.
