" Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it...we are all in charge of our attitude" I have a pretty amazing life!; I am an independent, caring, thoughtful, open-minded, positive woman. I enjoy making people laugh, ( and I can laugh at myself) Helping others, a great listener and non-judgmental are a few of my other great qualities. Looking for a little romance , a friend ... someone to enjoy new adventures with and the simple every day that is reality. A sense of humour is very important to me (sarcasm is even better). If you are someone who is financially independent ( not living in a van down by the river), has their own interests (and I'm not talking gaming), a cool group of friends (who know your dirt), one who is open-minded and has a good sense of self (or at least someone who knows what they want to be when they grow up) please feel free to send me a "hello".I am honestly and truly looking for a REAL relationship, at times I may take a few days to respond ( my daughter lives with me half time and she does come first) Yet I am feeling that life is short, the last 10 years flew by and I don't want to miss out on meeting that special someone now .P.S. I know that smoking is a BIG turn off to most people. I am a respectful, occasional smoker...and will quit when the time is right for me. I can go for long periods of time without and I don't care for the smell of it on my clothing, breath, in my car or home. I smoke less around non-smokers. All the best in the Okanagan lake of meetville.. Thank you for checking me out!....

I like to laugh, and am pretty happy generally with how my life is, I have great friends and I spend time with my family, I would just like a partner to share life with.I like to spend time at gallery openings, seeing live music, theatre, and dance, with a broad range of tastes in all. I love alternative rock and jazz and finding dives around the world to see it. I love outdoor concerts in the sun and intimate venues too. I love classical and singer/songwriter stuff. Not too much into country and Rap, although sometimes Stomping Tom or Johnny Cash are perfect for the moment. I love classical, especially chamber music, preferring small solos and quartets to large symphonies.I was hit by a car last March while riding my bike, a literal head-on collision with a minivan, so my physical activity is momentarily limited. I walk about 2- Can't wait to be back in top shape so I can enjoy my regular fare of running, cycling, hiking, snowshoeing, swimming...Throwing mid-week dinner parties is a worthy decadence. I cook like crazy, am half Italian and versed in French cooking, but most things I make are based on whole, organic foods made from scratch. I love fine dining and finding amazing hole-in-the-wall restaurants. I hate the word "foodie" and get called it a lot.I have travelled quite a bit and hope to do more. I like travelling in a variety of ways: road trips, backpacking or 5 star it, and pride myself on packing light. I have a passport, undies and a toothbrush in my purse at all times, ready for impromptu getaways.I am looking for someone who can hold a conversation, I like to talk about politics, religion and other topics that polite girls aren't supposed to broach, particularly over a bottle of a good red. On the other hand, I love puns, and being silly. I want someone who is a bit old fashioned, as I can't possibly make all the decisions and first moves. I like someone who has manners but is not pretentious. I don't want to be stood up, lied to or taken advantage of. I value quality over quantity. I need someone who is willing to put some time in to build trust, because I am shy and awkward at first, but open up to be warm and generous when I feel comfortable.Whew, okay, that is about as close as a textual representation I can make. Please feel free to message me if I catch your attention.Rina One that doesn't feel like an interview :)
