About Me

hello... friendship and mutual respect is first as a strong foundation and there has to be chemistry but we humans are complex; some lucky matches have lasted for years...others have not survived - not meant to be.....on a lighter note....lol...I like boating ,travelling, nature, animals, music, learning new things, cooking, health, personal growth, and home projects. My goals and aspirations...to take a vacation, make some improvements on my apartment, and of course be able to travel more , do a road trip, do some more exploring!I'm a very positive, passionate, caring, loving, affectionate, responsible and honest person. I think I am pretty unique in that i've lead an interesting life, am a girl with a past, who is definitely living in the present, has spirit , soul, and inner beauty... if a man truly loves a woman he shows it in his actions and efforts, spends time , whenever he can, if he truly cares ; romance is important and communication. i believe a higher power and energies are at work that make things happen for a couple if they are meant to be together, and choices we make determine the outcome.. I'm not a materialistic person, and not looking for a man to support me, i like my independance .I also like to have that special someone to cuddle up to every night too..:) How people treat you is their Karma...How You react to it Is Yoursthe following words are not mine, they are quotes from a book:she was the first woman not to bow down to him; she knew who should be receiving the adoration, so she looked him straight in the eye, probably flashed him a sly and knowing smile, then turned and slowly sashayed away into her tent to wait for him to bring her love offerings; Why? She wanted to see if he deserved her love. She wanted to see how he'd enhance the quality of HER life before she let him in. She knew that for a woman there was something worse than being alone: BEING WITH A MAN THAT DOESN'T DESERVE YOU AND DOESN'T KNOW IT.; she already had everything. She wanted to see if the wisest man in the world knew what a woman truly wanted: gifts tied with heartstrings. Unconditional love, selflessness, support, loyalty, enthusiasm, attention, thoughtfulness, devotion, romance, constancy, caring, emotional primacy,-these were the love gifts fit for a Queen. HonourRespectDignityThree basics we all deserve to be shown and treated with. Our pasts are just that past, no such thing as a regrettable mistake, as long as we have learned from it.I love music....most hits, some eighties, classic rock or hard rock, anything clever, progressive and original, that the artist has shown excellence in musicianship and detail and creativity. that depends, something where we are both comfortable and no pressure:)

"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living." — Dr. SeussI am passionate about life and all of it's opportunities! I've been very lucky so far and my path has taken me many places... my life is good, it is filled with wonderful family, great friends and creative outlets that make me smile inside and out.You know who you are and enjoy the adventure that is life... your ability to banter is what will win me over! Connection is so multifaceted - engaging conversations, shared values, integrity and above all humour is what makes life tick!!Physical exercise and having healthy food are of great importance to me, that's not to say that I'll pass on a yummy desert though! Everything in balance ;)Outdoors, the arts, travel, cultures different from my own, good people, oh and wine(!), kindness, compassion and success are some of things that make me go "Wow"! Looking to fulfill the missing snuggle-factor too. Are you a great man who shares some of these and can hold his own during a pillow fight? Then by all means, send a smoke signal. something easy, live conversation, then a meet up - a little walk... if there's a spark, the rest will follow...

Woman. 44 years old. Zodiac sign: Aries.

Looking for: man. In age: 41-51

I love movies, theatre (watching and performing in), music, getting lost in a good book, keeping fit and being a student of life. I'm interested in other cultures and what makes people tick. People find me amusing, friendly and a bit crazy :) This all helps me work with getting High School students through, "when am I ever going to use this?!" moments. :p A sense of humour, or even better wit, are far more impressive to me than any car or thing. I'm looking for someone who is not only fun to be around but also loving, respectful and compassionate. Someone to share love, laughter and life with... who maybe loves clever comedy, is a bit nerdy/geeky/literate (ie. saw The Hobbit and The Great Gatsby!), has warm, smiling eyes, and if not loves the arts, at least has an appreciation for them. I have a good life, good friends and great sons, all I'd like now is the Great Guy! :)I recently wrote this to someone and think I need to add this to my profile since I'm in the Land of the Outdoorsy, I'm feeling like a fish out of water...I recently came to the realization that if some people are 'outdoorsy' than that would mean others could be 'indoorsy' and to be honest, that's where I put myself. That doesn't mean 'couch potato' just that I love going out for dinner, wandering around museums and/or bookstores, new towns/cities, antique stores, taking in live theatre or music, talking to people, good-friend gatherings, or watching a good movie. That's what 'rows my boat' as it were.. I do have a goofy Golden Retriever though, and we love to go walking - town, beach or woods. I have ventured out of (and realize the importance of stepping out of) my 'comfort zones', eg. rock climbing, snow shoeing and surfing (thanks to my sons!). I am quite willing and love the challenge but do require a bit of a nudge sometimes. :) perhaps a lunch date and a stroll afterward...
