A brief synopsis of me....I am a single mom, with great friends and my family and love to laugh. My kids are still youngish and they are my priority...and while my mom side and my own me side are separate, it is inevitable that should a connection exist, there will be some overlap. If this isn't in your comfort zone, then I am not for you. I enjoy being active and have been known to adventure and tackle a few challenges here and there. I am fit, but I am not ultra-fit or built like it, but definitely make staying active a big part of my life and make it happen daily. I am always looking at new ways to make that happen in fun ways. I like to think I'm quick witted and think I'm pretty good at dishing it out, and taking it. Sarcasm and witty banter is most definitely something that makes me smile. I am up front and honest and am only looking for the same. I can ask the hard question, give the hard answer and pretty much feel like it should just be told the way it is. For better or for worse, I wear my heart on my sleeve and my loyalty to my friends and family is unwavering. That said, I'm confident in what I want and what I have to offer and don't think it serves anyone to settle. I absolutely believe that you get what you give and that life is far too short to not take a few risks and go out on a few limbs...it's the only life we have and I kind of subscribe to the notion that I won't regret what I did...only what I chose not to try.I prefer an intimate group of friends to a room full of strangers, but am certainly able to hold my own in any venue. I can be reserved and somewhat shy by nature initially, but once I hit that ultimate comfort zone, watch out! Jeans and flip flops; little black dress and heels; business attire...all within my comfort zone.I have been here on and off at various times. I've met some nice people, remain great friends with some, but for me, I haven't made the connection I would like to, so here I am. My profile says that I am looking for a relationship...that's kind of a hard one. While ultimately I am, that will happen when it's the right time and the right connection and new friends can't really be a bad thing :)I have posted a pic and really ask the same, or if you aren't comfortable with that, please send one along. We all like to know who we are talking with :) Here's my black and white though....I am looking to meet someone that I connect with; someone to laugh and share fun times with; someone honest and open and real. I am not interested in flings or serial dating. I think life is nicer when you have that special someone to share the adventure with! When I meet that someone, I won't be choosing to date others, and ultimately, that someone should be of the same mindset. For me, it is also important that your past is your past. We all have the experiences that have shaped us over the years, some good, some bad. I also know there are always bumps in the road, but in general my bags are neatly packed, and I expect the same :)Okay...so apparently that wasn't so brief ;) Did I mention I can ramble? Man it's like kijiji on here. So much to weed through to get to the good stuff!Well let me open with this. I'm tall, 5'10". So, in all fairness you should know, that unless you're 6'1", and I mean really 6'1", I'm not interested. I like to wear my heels occasionally and being taller than my guy makes me uncomfortable. There, I said it. Anybody still reading this?Let me get to the fun stuff then. Here are a few things I'm pretty good at:1) playing the guitar. Scratch that, I suck. But I like to dabble and in my head, I sound awesome. 2) cooking. You like food? Perfect. 3) volleyballI. 4) helping people reach their fitness goals. I'm a personal trainer and boot camp *** I guess you could say I'm really good at yelling at people. (she jokes***being funny. See what I did there? I actually am pretty funny with a quick wit and sense of humor. If you can make me laugh, bonus points baby. 6) listening. I am that friend you can come to if you need to vent, complain or cry. 7) kayaking. Just discovered it this summer and whether it's a river or a lake, I love it. 8) cleaning bathrooms. Just wanted to see if you're reading every word or skimming over it. 9) spooning. Big or little, I'm your girl. Cuddling is highly underrated. 10)... let's kill this list already... kissing! If you are also a good kisser, I think we (our lips) should meet.I take care of myself inside and out and would expect that you do too. If you smoke, are trying to quit, or are in denial (lying) about your smoking, you're not for me. I like men who are fit, active and healthy. I love to watch and play sports which some guys think is pretty cool. I want to travel more in the next few years as there are still many places I haven't been. Live music is one of my fave things. Some concerts I've been to have filled my soul! I'm a warm weather kinda girl and spend as much time outside as possible in that 2 month window we call summer. I'm a mom of two amazing girls. We have lots of fun together and they are my favorite people in the world. My life is good, I'm blessed. Just looking to add a person to it and bring it up a notch. Having said that, I'd much rather be alone than be with the wrong person, for any length of time. I know who I am and what I want. Chemistry is of utmost importance for sure, but true compatibility, I believe, is where the magic happens.Gotta start somewhere though so don't be shy. Talk to me baby!
