Please don't contact me if all you are interested in is a one night stand. Please don't contact me unless you can show me a photo, fairs fair! I don't like facial hair (beard, goatee or mustache), sorryOther than that .... We'll seeI'm British and lived here nearly 5 years now and love it! No connection to the army either, which seems to be a popular question lol I love to be at home but also like to go out too, dining, movies, walking, driving. I am actually quite easily pleased. The small things count a great deal! I live a very normal life, I work full time and have a daughter in ringette and track so that also keeps me busy. I love the summer but also love the snow though I'm not great at skiing lol maybe someone could teach me. I'm up for just about anything (within reason) lol I am looking for a relationship but as my profile above says it has to be dating first and then become friends. If that works good for us, then who knows where it will end up :) Whatever is good with each other

I love movies, theatre (watching and performing in), music, getting lost in a good book, keeping fit and being a student of life. I'm interested in other cultures and what makes people tick. People find me amusing, friendly and a bit crazy :) This all helps me work with getting High School students through, "when am I ever going to use this?!" moments. :p A sense of humour, or even better wit, are far more impressive to me than any car or thing. I'm looking for someone who is not only fun to be around but also loving, respectful and compassionate. Someone to share love, laughter and life with... who maybe loves clever comedy, is a bit nerdy/geeky/literate (ie. saw The Hobbit and The Great Gatsby!), has warm, smiling eyes, and if not loves the arts, at least has an appreciation for them. I have a good life, good friends and great sons, all I'd like now is the Great Guy! :)I recently wrote this to someone and think I need to add this to my profile since I'm in the Land of the Outdoorsy, I'm feeling like a fish out of water...I recently came to the realization that if some people are 'outdoorsy' than that would mean others could be 'indoorsy' and to be honest, that's where I put myself. That doesn't mean 'couch potato' just that I love going out for dinner, wandering around museums and/or bookstores, new towns/cities, antique stores, taking in live theatre or music, talking to people, good-friend gatherings, or watching a good movie. That's what 'rows my boat' as it were.. I do have a goofy Golden Retriever though, and we love to go walking - town, beach or woods. I have ventured out of (and realize the importance of stepping out of) my 'comfort zones', eg. rock climbing, snow shoeing and surfing (thanks to my sons!). I am quite willing and love the challenge but do require a bit of a nudge sometimes. :) perhaps a lunch date and a stroll afterward...

Time for another update :) How does one explain what they're looking for with dropdown boxes and radio buttons? Nothing really matches what's in my head...lol. My ideal results from this site is someone who wants to do things, simple things like sitting around a fire at a friends, camping for a weekend, floating down the Snye or just a night at home watching a movie. Someone looking for a relationship but not a serious/have to see each other everyday/must spend every waking moment together/lets get married relationship. I like my life right now but spending time with someone special is always a welcome improvement. I'd much rather meet a real person, not just their profile. If you have no intentions of meeting people face to face, this is probably the wrong profile for you. By the way...I'll never be mistaken for tall but BBW I am. Class Clown isn't exactly accurate either but nothing else seemed to fit. I do have a great sense of humor, though, and love comedy clubs/movies. I have a great job that I enjoy and I've finally finished studying! Looking forward to finding something new to fill my free time. Hobbies are definitely lacking after 5 years of the work, study, work, study routine. Maybe I'll finally make that trip to Vegas..lol.Ask me anything and I'll usually give you a very direct answer. I love to laugh and try to be positive. It doesn't always work, but I try. A small group of good friends certainly makes it easier, even if they don't all live here. And Red Green....the answer to all life's questions can be found in an episode of Red Green...lol. Remember, if the women don't find ya handsome, they should at least find ya handy ;) Happy fishing!Update: Finally made it to Vegas and I loved it!! Can't wait to go back again and explore off the strip. 3 days was way too short. Something casual, no pressure, easy to walk away from if there's no connection. If there is a connection, plans are made to be broken...lol
