About Me

I'm down-to-earth, adventurous, and no-nonsense. Chemistry is important to me and I think it's there or it's not. I'm originally from the East coast so I've got a good backbone, a strong sense of honesty, and a funny way of saying words like "coffee" and "sauce." :) I'm slow to commit, but when I do, you'll know I always have your back and will be there when I tell you I will. I don't like designer bags or shoes, so the only way you can impress me is by treating me with respect and being awesome. :)I like to find little explored paths, new and interesting experiences, and try to wring as much fun and joy out of my life as possible. I connect best with someone who likes to learn a new thing or is up for an adventure (big or small). I keep active and have done a ton of 5ks, 10ks, half-marathons, and even a mini-triathalon in ***. I enjoy the mud/obstacle runs the best however! Totally excited for it next time around when I can exact some vengeance! LOL! :-) I've been 38 for about 6 years now cause I think it's an awesome age. I've done visual effects work for the last six years, but being that my position is totally outsourced to India now, I've set my sights on opening my own cake and coffee shop. I don't have kids (and will not be having any) and am open to finding a great, honest guy who wants to create something wonderful together.I am NOT looking for an *** relationship. I will quickly get bored if you type at me too long and never ask me out, sorry. Passivity just doesn't do it for me.Oh, and all my pictures are recent (or relatively so) and dated for your peace of mind. ***********PS:Cut and paste form letters are a total turn-off!! (especially when you repeatedly send them). And why does everyone say "I love to laugh and you must too!" Does anyone ever say "I hate laughing"?Please, please have decent pictures. Wearing sunglasses/motorcycle helmets in them all, too far away, 5 of your dog, one group photo with no note saying which is you, blurry/grainy = no good.If I don't write back, that means I didn't get any tingly sensations when I looked at your profile. Don't take it personally, that's just the way it goes sometimes. I tried to be considerate initially but there was too much drama kicked back from a polite "Thank you but no sparks on this end" and who wants to deal with hostility or pleading? (not me). So, sorry. Coffee or drink dates are best for first meetings. No sense in spending a lot of time or money when you've never even met and can't say for sure if you have any chemistry.

    About me: well, I am pretty easy going person, err on the positive side of things, am always pretty upbeat and optimistic,, I tend to seek out the best qualities in people, am very attracted to fun personalities and good sense of humor, look at the glass as half full, I am very spontaneous and enjoy others that can be too, I strongly feel that everything we do in life is a choice, so if you are unhappy then you can change this for yourself. I am not really interested in meeting someone fresh out of a divorce or recently separated, I am just going to be flat honest there. I have spent the last 2.5 years enjoying my singlehood and independence, and I would only want to give that up for THE right person, who is in the right place in life. I realize the time it takes to get to know someone “really” so I am in no means of a rush here. coffee, a hike, a beer, it all depends on the connection.
