Ok, so I am going to write a bit more, since I had such a short profile initially...I would describe myself as intelligent, funny, sarcastic, beautiful (inside and out), determined, hard-working, sexy, caring, loyal, educated, independent, and not afraid to take on a challenge. I'm sure there are more great adjectives...I'm not into labels or plastic people. I prefer nice, respectful, good-hearted, sincere people. Life is too short to spend time with people doing things you don't enjoy (like going to clubs...not into that anymore). My time is precious, and with a two-year-old son, I don't get out much. So, I choose who I spend my time with and what I am doing wisely. If I choose to spend time with you, even on our first meeting, respect me and my time enough to show up, call with enough advanced notice if you are cancelling, and don't ask me last minute to do something (well, you can ask, but I will probably not be able to meet you). I don't have too many active hobbies right now. But, I am open to adopting some new ones--maybe I'll like some of yours?! I enjoy going to concerts and outdor festivals and such. I'm not into working out, but I'd love to take up some co-ed sports or activities. I am trying to lose some weight I gained after having my baby...so, I'm open to some working out too. It seems like every guy on here says he enjoys working out...no matter how chubby he looks in his pics. LOL. I like a man who takes care of himself, but not to the point of drinking protein shakes and being ridiculous about his meals. I love food. I am a foodie. One of my favorite things is going out to eat and drinking some nice wine. I am not going to enjoy going out to eat with you if you ask for your chicken breast plain, get veg *** carbs, say no to bread, and can't have a drink...BORING! I'd rather you be a little thick...a little! ;)Speaking of what I like in a man...I like tall guys. I won't *** message from you if you are at least 5'9", but I really prefer over 6'. I like thin/athletic builds, but a few extra pounds are ok as long as you carry them well and don't have a gut, love handles, etc. And, hey, maybe we can lose a few lbs together! I also go for light or lighter eyes. It's not necessarily a prerequisite, but I've noticed the guys that I've dated more seriously and longest all have light eyes. I also only date caucasian guys. I have ventured out, but, white guys are my thing. Oh, and another biggie...you have to have hair. I know a lot of guys my age are balding so they shave it off. But, a bald head doesn't do it for me. I'm sure there are plenty of great looking ladies that do like a smooth, bald head!If you are upset that you don't fit into my "taste" above, don't be. Its nothing personal. Everyone has a taste. Everyone has dating preferences. I don't need to hear from any of you about how shallow I am or how I'm missing out. That may well be true, but its not up to you to scold me for it. And, no, I don't think I'm perfect...far from it. Ok?!As for any baggage or drama...everyone has some, or you haven't lived...I am a woman...complicated, yet simple...independant, still looking for a knight in shining armor...have worked hard and accomplished a lot, and failed too...I have loved and lost, and been both too afraid to love, and afraid of never finding it...I am a control freak, but would love to have a man not too intimidated to take the reins...I have been hurt, used, ***, blown-off by men. This will obviously affect how I view men and love, but I am still open and hopeful that there is a man that is mature and man enough to realize what a real woman is and has to offer.I have many wonderful qualities, but I am not perfect (though this will be deleted forever, evidence destroyed, if I DO find someone--so you can never use my words against me) :)As I said above, I have a son. He is my world and takes up a lot of time. So, if that scares you, then I'm not right for you. I was never married to his father (less drama, I think). I'm not looking for a daddy for him. But, the man that I get involved with will have to be open to loving my son and taking care of him in a fatherly way, since he lives with me most of the time. There's no point in starting something with you if you already know you are done raising your kids or couldn't help love and raise another man's child. I AM looking to get married one day if I meet the right guy and I am his right girl. I am not interested in finding just any guy....interested in finding the right guy. I think men and women should complement each other. Myself – Passionate but grounded, analytical, and opinionated. I am not offended by a dirty joke and can dish out one of my own. I am independent but far from being a feminist. Sarcasm is a spice of life, so bring it on. I am witty, have a wicked sense of humor, loyal and fun...and it would NEVER be boring. To put it in a TV perspective...I will say I am a mixture of Phil Dunphy (See Modern Family), Ron Swanson (Parks & Rec) & Monica Geller (Friends)...with a dash of Jess (New Girl). So yeah pretty much AWESOME!! Here is what I seek in a nutshell - I am looking for somebody who’s gonna respect you enough to go through the day-to-day bullsh*t and be honest with me....that to me is REAL ROMANCE. I enjoy cooking/baking music and concerts, checking out the local neighborhood dive bar, my dogs, traveling....I do like art and going to the theatre (but its OK if you don't...I realize its not for everyone). Love sports....especially baseball...Cardinals Baseball...Football (College and Pro) and Nascar....I know it gets a bad rap but I grew up around race cars and it is in my blood. I am always up for a fun adventure. I LOVE taking weekend road trips to random places... Urban Decay Photography is my new passion...currently looking into getting a proper camera. Wow...it seems like everyone on these dating sites is really, really busy on vacation, working out, running ***k's or partaking in extreme sports. Who has time to date?!? I better get busy training for that Iron Man. Also, if this site is a good *** what is happening in this world...there should be no obesity epidemic...You - Should be cute, kind, dog lover, hilarious, ambitious...I am going to stop here...why put limits on myself or people>What’s your story? What are you greatest pet-peeves and what makes you weak in your knees from joy and happiness. I think this really depends on the person...A great date really depends more on the company than the place.Note..a first date does not mean cuddling with you, showering with you, napping with you or the like. That also means I probably don't want to see photos of your junk...so keep it classy and in your pants. Also, if you are going to ask to borrow $40...probably best to not be dating...period. :) So sad I have to even list these...yes, these situations really happened.
