I am an active person and enjoy kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, sailing, yoga and more. I enjoy learning new things, being social and being quiet. I like spending time together one on one. I love the ocean, the islands and nature. I like cooking and going out for dinner. I am well travelled and enjoy bike touring in different countries as well as nesting and creating home, community and family. I like to play guitar (more campfire style!) and enjoy live music and dancing. I really like to enjoy life! I honestly don't know much about dating.....It is a new way of meeting people!

Hey there,Ok so my friend put me up to this. Working in a female dominated profession, this strategy is not working for me. So here I am!I have a job that I love, friends and family that I adore and a place to call my own. I enjoy watching the Canucks win on the ice but support them when they don't.Summer is here and I am ready for some outdoor fun. I'm hoping to get lots of fresh air by going on hikes, beaching it up, kayaking and visiting the outdoor festivals our city has to offer. Despite my interest in adventure, I can be quite shy at first but get past that awkward first bit and my inner sarcasm will shine through. ;)I'm not looking for a booty call; so if you are good luck but lets not waste our time. I'm looking to date and start a friendship that may grow into something more. Good luck and if you're interested in knowing more give me a shout! Lets keep it simple at first, coffee?

So how do you sell yourself? I'm not really sure. I'm funny, kind, caring as we all are one here right? I would love some romance in my life again. And I know it's almost standard on here but I'm just not going to do the shirtless bathroom mirror selfie...it's just too cheesy. ;) I want a relationship to be an adventure. It is so much work getting to know someone and I don't want to rush it. I'd rather have fun, try new things and just let things fall into place. There has to be physical attraction but that can't be all there is. What's the worst that could happen? We have a new friend? What a horrible prospect! Please appreciate sarcasm and don't take yourself and everything around you too seriously. Life is about making the most of what you have and enjoying every minute of the ride. I'm not a jealous person or a drama queen and I'm actually not jut saying that! I do expect to be treated with respect no matter the situation because that is how I treat people. You can disagree about many things but disrespect and ***'t something I want in my life. I have 2 children 19 & 12. If you consider children to be a hassle, inconvenient or "baggage" then we definitely won't be a good fit. I've always been active and now that my daughter is older we are looking at more challenging activities, I'd say my son but he has discover a life of his own lately. I've recently taken up running and did the Grind for the first time this spring after talking about it for years! Adventure Time is on the horizon and I want to seize it. Something casual. Grab a tea...I don't drink coffee & go for a walk. Something where we can get to know each other a bit before we decide to go to a movie where we don't talk to each other for 2 hours and then go home. We can save that for later :)
