I enjoy a variety of different activities from anything outdoors to chilling on the couch drinking a beer while watching a good football game (esp USC! Go Trojans!) I'm the type of girl who isn't afraid of getting down and dirty and then getting cleaned up for a night out on the town. I am not looking for a man to make me happy but rather to be happy with a man.Oh, and if I view your profile and don't send you a message, don't assume I'm shy because if I'm interested I have no problems reaching out first. Its more likely that either I'm not interested or there is something in your profile that made me believe we would not be a good match. I'm pretty much open to anything except a movie on a first date. Don't really understand how you are suppose to get to know someone while watching a movie. Doesn't make sense to me. Well this is the part I hate but here goes. I'm a quiet, laid back person, and I'm shy at first until you get to know me. I like going on walks, a little bit of hiking, BBQ's, baking, cooking, camping and enjoying life. I am a parent and my kids do come first but I want to find someone to share my life with. Let's find out, here's a smidge about me: I don't particularly like to shop, I'd rather wear jeans and flip flops than heels and a dress, prefer a fresh face over gobs of makeup, and I couldn't care less about labels, the car you drive or what's in your wallet. I have no desire to amass heaps of material possessions, I prefer to live simply. I have little time for materialistic and superficial people. I'm not into the bar scene and the majority of my time is spent with my kids. So, if you're looking for an arm candy princess...I'm not your girl. Creating art and gardening are my biggest activities outside of kids sports. I'm a painter and occasionally show my work locally. We spend a lot of time in the garden during the spring and summer, where I grow a wide variety of organic fruit and veg and I'm a good cook, so it's all put to good use. I jump at opportunities to travel and love road trips or camping. I'm an avid documentary and occasional foreign film watcher. I thoroughly enjoy stand-up and sci-fi, also a fan of Sherlock, Doctor Who, Star Trek and a daily Democracy Now watcher. When it comes to politics liberal would be an understatement...I'm also not your girl. If I had to pick a favorite type of music it would be acoustic blues. I'm an insatiably curious person and I frequent the library almost as often as the garden. I'm not religious, but I strive to meditate daily even if it's just being mindful in a hectic life.I am looking for someone with integrity, who is intelligent, witty, thoughtful, kind, and likes to read.
