I like to think I'm a good listener or at least I try very hard to be. I like to read body language. I also try very hard not to judge because it will only come back to me in form of bad karma or close me off to the possibility of knowing someone deeply. I like to sew and design things (wall hangings, quilts, tools, clothes) and build or repair things. I don't like hanging out in the sun. I love the ocean and camping. I don't cook but am a fan of those who do. I like working out at the gym. I used to be a Civil War reenactor, thinking about maybe getting involved with it again. I like wearing frilly clothes. I've been told by others that I'm weird (don't know what that means) but it's always (I mean always) said with a smile and great fondness. I like watching baseball/football but only with others. I'm pretty comfortable in my own skin. I can stay calm under pressure (at least look like it on the outside).I would like to hear about you.Update: The nose comment on my photo was meant to show off my nose in a very proud way.......I'm so surprised at how many of you guys think I don't like my nose (eye-ka-rumba). But just the same, thank you all for feeling the need to reassure me that my nose is ok......very thoughtful. I like men who are assertive and comfortable in their own skin. It's hard to write what I think is an ideal first date because I like things to be spontaneous....what can be written about that.....takes the surprise out don't you think? I would rather go for something simple to decide if we click....then let loose whatever makes life flow.

    There's no place like home!!Here's a bit about me...I am kind, caring, compassionate and also independent, passionate and career-minded. I love to hike, bike, travel and explore.     I have been accused of finding the silver lining in just about every situation! I don't like getting angry. I believe it is a waste of time and energy. I like to go to the gym and work out. I am not a fanatic but it does feel good and I like to be healthy. I usually work out ***to 4 days a week. I enjoy working out but it would be more fun with a partner! I read a lot!! I love to travel to warm places! I like sports but not fanatical about them! I love to tailgate!! There is so much that I would like to see and do. From simple things as just sitting around a campfire and gazing at the stars to traveling to places I have never seen. I am at home on the couch watching a movie, waiting for the crock pot to finish something awesome I have conjured up to dressing up and going out on the town in heels and dressed to the 9s. I would like to find my special someone. I don't expect him to be Mr. Perfect, simply because I am not Ms. Perfect. But I would like him to be my best friend. Someone easy to talk with, where we can have conversations late into the night and if we disagree that is ok too. We just agree to disagree. Holding hands, cuddling, kissing is all great when you are with the right person. Anything else please feel free to ask me...I want to be able to retire and enjoy life, travel, spend time with grandchildren - if I have any. Absolutely love music - I listen to such a variety. But not so much rap or hip hop. I also love to dance! Total surprise!! That would be cool. But I love to play pool and darts, not good at either!!! Take a walk in a park by the water. Somewhere we can talk and just be ourselves!! Then if we want to continue have dinner, go dancing.
