About Me

I like to think I'm a good listener or at least I try very hard to be. I like to read body language. I also try very hard not to judge because it will only come back to me in form of bad karma or close me off to the possibility of knowing someone deeply. I like to sew and design things (wall hangings, quilts, tools, clothes) and build or repair things. I don't like hanging out in the sun. I love the ocean and camping. I don't cook but am a fan of those who do. I like working out at the gym. I used to be a Civil War reenactor, thinking about maybe getting involved with it again. I like wearing frilly clothes. I've been told by others that I'm weird (don't know what that means) but it's always (I mean always) said with a smile and great fondness. I like watching baseball/football but only with others. I'm pretty comfortable in my own skin. I can stay calm under pressure (at least look like it on the outside).I would like to hear about you.Update: The nose comment on my photo was meant to show off my nose in a very proud way.......I'm so surprised at how many of you guys think I don't like my nose (eye-ka-rumba). But just the same, thank you all for feeling the need to reassure me that my nose is ok......very thoughtful. I like men who are assertive and comfortable in their own skin. It's hard to write what I think is an ideal first date because I like things to be spontaneous....what can be written about that.....takes the surprise out don't you think? I would rather go for something simple to decide if we click....then let loose whatever makes life flow.

Looking for: man. In age: 52-62

I'm very happy with my life but I want someone to share it with. I'll tell you that I like having fun, movies, traveling, fishing, boating and outdoor activities. You've probably read lots of similar profiles that really tell you nothing about the person. ***, I will give you a glimpse into what makes me the person that I am.If you spend the next minute reading my profile, you will see I am not right for everyone, but I may be a great match for you.My quest to find a great match will be quite interesting I'm sure. I have a wonderful family and loyal friends which mean the world to me. I can make you smile because I am ALMOST always in a good mood. I would like to find someone who has as much to offer as I do. I think my best attribute is my sense of humor. Coffee and conversation.

This is the hardest part, dont know why talking about yourself is so hard. I have been out of the dating scene for awhile, was thinking I would check it out again. I am looking for a man that is honest and not into head games, can accept me for who I am. I am me cant be anyone else. Maybe go to dinner at a casual place so we could talk and get to know each other.

Woman. 53 years old. Zodiac sign: Aries.

Looking for: man. In age: 50-60

Single, reasonably stable (financially and emotionally***ish female looking for a single, reasonably stable 50-ish male who has figured out that life is a time limited offer and best celebrated as a shared experience. I know I've stated "dating but nothing serious" but that is subject to change. The 3 big "C" words that are important: conversation, communication, companionship, are some of the things I miss."C" words that I can live without: cats, cigarettes, cold weather, cutting the grass, and most country music.Seriously, why grass? It's a weed magnet!!!! If it rains, you have to cut it more often and if it doesn't rain, it turns brown and dies - there has to be a better solution.I'm passionate about a lot of things, but fanatical about nothing, except maybe grass. Oh, OK, I HATE polyester sheets and I don't believe in margarine. I take reasonable care of myself, I eat my version of healthy but don't believe in denying myself what I enjoy. I've been called a purist by someone who didn't know that I prefer milk chocolate over dark chocolate. Burgers are better without cheese, but I won't hold that against you.I try to watch the local news every day, just because it feels right. So does the whole "reduce, reuse, recycle" thing.I love music. I sometimes think in lyrics and a good song on the radio alarm can set my mood for the day. So many of the pictures of men on this site have them wearing dark glasses and baseball caps, I thought I'd try it too, well except for the baseball cap. The picture of me in the white t-Did I mention that: a sense of humour is a must? that spelling and grammar still count? manners are important? that I don't like grass?;X" word, but I did see him live a few times) and all the other words that needed to be, was I incorrectly "auto-corrected?" Sigh.** In theory, meeting someone on-line is a great concept. I've taken the step to try this again because so many people I've met had found who they were looking for here, yes HERE on POF!! After a couple of weeks back here, I'm having my doubts, but "nothing ventured, nothing gained.'Cheers, bonne chance, naz dadrovia, good luck in your quest!PS - I was born in ***but don't seem to be able to change it. PS/NB - I have posted pictures of myself. If you do not have a picture of yourself, or have private images but do not include them in your initial message to me, I will not respond. Even the dreaded "sunglasses and ball cap" are better than nothing, though in that disguise, how would we recognize each other if we ever decided to meet? I guess we wouldn't, meet that is. I didn't think it had to be said, but I guess it does. A walk somewhere interesting where we could talk and get to know each other a bit better, maybe with a patio as a destination or reward?
