About Me

The best part of my life is feeling good where I am and looking forward to how what’s ahead will unfold.I’m down-to-earth, optimistic by nature with a playful spirit. I have an ever-increasingly clear sense of myself (love that about being in my 50s :) and at the same time love exploring and welcoming what being flexible brings. I appreciate being around open, solution-oriented, centered thinkers. I’m one of the most considerate people I’ve ever met, and integrity and altruism feel good inside. I like seeing how life all fits together, the power of intention, the power of authenticity and focusing on things to appreciate in any situation to create more of that. I would love to connect with someone with similar sensibilities and create a fun, rich, soulful life together. I bicycle (road biking) a lot and have come to love gardening. I like balancing being responsible with relaxing - although I like being active, I definitely enjoy down time - cozying up together for gabbing, deeper conversation or laughing until you almost fall off your chair, maybe with a good bottle of wine or ale. I see the whole glass and don't deny the part that's half empty, I just choose to focus on and live (mostly) in the part that's half full. I find it's so much more satisfying and fun that way.I like expecting to feel good, tropical fish, mangos, being an aunt, great conversation, language, cycling, yoga, walking anywhere, lots of laughter, being in nature, snorkeling, kayaking, being uplifted, being uplifting, gratitude, kindness, the feeling of festivity that margaritas bring, meditating, my little deck, whole foods, live music, really strong decaf (too often an oxymoron:), awareness, dancing, boating (not sailing), swimming, being around the water, things that make my brain cramp a little from the exercise, just hanging out or goofing off...Other miscellany: I’ve historically gotten most of my news from NPR, but am currently on what’s turning out to be an indefinite sabbatical from the news (love “Car Talk” :) I’d like to do some more snorkeling and am allergic to cats and motorcycles.Like me, you are feeling good about life and have a positive outlook; you’re genuine, have a sense of humor, a sense of self and like being in your own skin; you have a spontaneous streak, can be introspective and like sharing yourself; you like a little adventure in your life and are easily delighted :)If something's sparked your interest, let me know what did and I'll do the same - could be a great start to getting to know each other:)

I am an outgoing, intelligent, optimistic and determined woman. I enjoy laughing and finding the humor in everyday life - but not at the expense of others. A favorite quote of mine is from William A.;A well-developed sense of humor is the pole that adds balance to your steps as you walk the tightrope of life." Life is very serious and we do need some fun. My smile is my best feature.I would love to meet a romantic, fun guy (fun is the key word!) who is interested in socializing, as well as exploring the city with me. Other interests I have are reading (everything),sudoku, gardening, wine tasting, lifting weights, bike riding, cooking, home improvement and walking my dog(because she loves it!!). To see if there is a connection, I would prefer to meet in person over coffee, lunch or a drink after work!

IF YOU DON'T LIKE TALKING ON THE PHONE AND THINK TEXT AND *** CONVERSATION...I DON'T!!! Text is to just say hi or to see if we can talk on the phone. I will NOT hold a conversation by texting. Dang, I hate to keep adding things here. It's been pointed out to me that I cuss, sometimes too much...I'm 55 and don't think this will change much...if cussing upsets you, guess you should pass me byI DON'T TAKE RIDERS...PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR AND DON'T ASK!PLEASE!!! IF YOU ARE MARRIED OR LIVING WITH SOMEONE IN A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP, PLEASE DON'T CONTACT ME! I'm NOT interested in being ON THE SIDE or a F-BUDDY. Please read my profile and make sure we have some things in common before contacting me...I won't hesitate to tell you if I think we don't.THE MENTALITY OF THE MOTORCYCLEBE WHAT YOU ARE SAY WHAT YOU THINK DO WHAT YOU WANT GO WHERE YOU WILL STAND BY YOUR WORDIf you scare easy, you might as well quit reading now. Or maybe looks are the most important thing to you. Keep going. When a hand is extended upon meeting someone new and the handshake is not accepted, that's an insult. If someone writes to me, even though I'm not interested, I do send a response. What's wrong with the rest of you? Do you have so many friends that you don't need another? I'm just saying, it's rude not to respond when someone makes a friendly gesture. I don't feel you can get to know someone well through texting and IM. I like to go to the phone pretty quickly, hear a person's voice, laugh with them and see if we have anything to say to each other. While I am looking for a long term relationship, I'm also interested in making new friends. As for the relationship thing, I am looking for that man who can look me in the eye, always tell me the truth and make me laugh. You might think that telling the truth is easy but I've come to find people avoid it when they think someone will get mad at them for saying it. I prefer to tell the truth and hear the truth, even if it hurts someone's feelings or mine. Those that prefer to deal with things by using the silent treatment need not apply. ALSO, SINCE I RIDE MY OWN MOTORCYCLE, I'D PREFER SOMEONE WHO RIDES FOR A RELATIONSHIP. Nothing better than being on the road with your someone special. If you don't ride, I know we could be friends but if you didn't like motorcycles and many people don't, well, that wouldn't work out.I believe myself to be intelligent, hilarious and sexy. I am passionate about many things, in a relationship and in the world. I believe that I can do anything (my mom agrees)and I usually succeed, sometimes due to blind luck. I am a smart ass and politically, libertarian is about the only thing I can find some agreement on. One of my friends says I'm a redneck-liberal. About church and God. I don't go but I believe...something I read in an *** "I'd rather be on my bike thinking about God then be in church thinking about my bike." I say "Thank God" everytime I ride for giving me a good day to ride and the ability to ride my own.I'm hoping to find the person who is already the way I imagine my man to be. Hopefully, I might be close to your ideal. Let's face it. We're grown and pretty much set in our ways. I've also found something out about kissing. If you don't like the way someone kisses, where can you go from there? Friends for sure. I like my kisses slow, soft and sensual. Hard and quick is only good for a couple of things...kissing is not one of them.I am a free spirited, slightly opinionated woman and hoping to find the same in a man. I love the wind in my face, whether on a horse, a motorcycle, the beach or the top of a mountain. If you have little interest in music or listen to things like smooth jazz or easy listening, we ain't gonna get along. Don't know much about classical music but wouldn't mind learning more. One more caveat. I treat others the way I would like them to treat me. This means I try to always do what I say I'm going to do. Call when I say I'll call. Be there when I say I'll be there. Many people seem to have a problem with this but I believe it's the way grown up human beings should act.One more thing...I understand if you don't want to write a lot about yourself or post a picture on this site but if you contact me, be ready to have a conversation, send more info and a picture to the ***'ll provide Let's ride!
