Right now most of my hobby time consists of reading and working on stuff for grad school. I've got a background in journalism and communications and decided to go back to school and get my masters in teaching. I'm almost halfway through my masters program and am already ready for it to be over! But I'm really excited about being a teacher. A year of teaching English in Korea convinced me to make the leap from journalism and now here I am, one year and a semester of student teaching away from having my own classroom again.When grad school is not consuming my evenings, I like to read, write, have a drink or two with friends, or watch some good shows (New Girl, HIMYM, Walking Dead, Grimm... Anything that's not a reality show, really). I also love trying new foods -- I'm definitely an adventurous eater and will try just about anything once! And I mean anything. Giant crickets in Thailand, squid so fresh it's still squirming in Korea, kudu jerkey in South Africa. Bring it on! Since college I have gotten more and more into athletics. Running, specifically, but I also enjoy biking on trails and taking classes at the gym.***mile obstacle course designed by British Special Forces. It is insane and kind of scary, but it also looks like a lot of fun! Hopefully I survive! My music style is pretty versatile. Right now I've been listening to a lot of stuff from high school (Live, Weezer, Audioslave, Green Day, Offspring), but I also enjoy country (especially in the summer), and hip-hop/dance/B96ish stuff when I run/workout. If you've gotten this far in my little bio, I also want to mention that I am a very anti-drama kind of girl. I prefer to look for the positive in life. Being negative and hating takes too much energy!I'm really looking forward to the summer -- boating season, going to baseball games, and feeling the warm sun on my face! Did I cover everything? Questions? Drop me a line! I don't have one ideal, perfect first date, but I would enjoy doing something active on a first date, like bowling or paddle boating. I mentioned before that I enjoy trying new foods and I have an adventurous streak, so I'm up for new experiences!

I am.... * complex AND simple? lol... I think all day long, literally... totally random stuff, deep thoughts, business and inventions I want to start and make... but... * the little things in life make me the happiest, and make me smile soo big and feel really happy inside and grateful. I.E.... walking my dog and seeing her smile and all happy!, getting a text from my sissy (little sister :)) that says she loves me, spending time with my two best friends and/or my sissy or brother and/or dog :), taking a walk outside and feeling so at peace and happy looking at all the pretty fall leaves or snow on the ground... * making the important people in my life feel happy and loved makes my heart smile, it really does :) * I try to be at whatever big or little milestones or events there are that are related to the important people in my life, whether that be my best friend's step grandmother's funeral... my dog's "birthday" haha... I rearranged my schedule with my boss (worked two super long days in order to leave a few hours early one day!) so I could go home and drive my sister to her first ever day of work, and see her off and take like dozens of pictures of her before we left and after she came home. She's one of my favorite and most important people to me in my life. :)* tons of random goals. have a whole notebook full of ideas I want to/am working on. >* emotional (psychological) health is just as important as physical health to me, if not more important (obviously I don't want any physical diseases or anything lol... but when the parts of my psychological health like relationships with friends and family members and whatnot are all good, that's the best).* hmm... music... I only listen to it really when I'm driving lol. And I drive everywhere in the city. I come from the suburbs originally, what can I say? haha. I have yet to fully adapt to the transition to public transportation! But back to the radio... here are my presets lol 93.9 The Light94.7... oldies96.3 B***. KISS FM99.5 Countryan AM station that has all the good popular music, but with swear words/suggestive lyric parts of the songs missing.... can you guess?? lol ....some AM station that has local weather and traffic updates?I'm pretty introverted, but I love going out and going to see movies, maybe a concert here and there, LOVE live comedy of all kinds (stand up, improv, shows, etc!). Love hanging out in wherever and watching a movie, playing board games, etc. Pretty much, as long as I'm with someone/people I like, I'm good no matter what we're doing lol. Have a lot of idealistic views and things in this world I'd love to change if I could :) * I really really really want to try finding an old piece of furniture and staining/sanding/painting it to give it a whole new look.... and then try other projects I see on HGTV. I'm scanning the internet for some cheap deals!. anwhere ELSE I haven't thought of to walk in... lol); or grabbing a coffee or smoothie or some interesting little thing to munch on while we chat and get to know each other!
