I am an active, creative person with many interests. I like to cook, go to the gym, eat out and try new foods, and garden. I love sports. I wouldn’t say I’m a very close follower of any sport except maybe football, but I'm always up for going to a game no matter what the sport. I played soccer, swam, threw the discus, and golfed in high school. Overall, I like variety. I like both staying in and going out and doing things, but I don't like to do either all the time. I am usually not a big TV person, but I do like going out to a movie every once in a while. I just got a job as a Title 1 aide at an elementary school. I basically help kids who are struggling on their test scores. I really enjoy working with kids, but I also like to write (I majored in Creative Writing in college). I'm not really ***percent sure what I'll end up doing in the end. I may get a job as a classroom teacher, or I may freelance tutor, or I could also write novels and articles for magazines. Probably I'll do some combination thereof. Time will tell. :)Finally, family is very important to me. I am very close with my parents, brother and sister-in-law, and extended family. I am looking for someone who shares my faith as well as someone who shares some interests.

I have no idea what someone really wants to learn while reading this, so I guess I'll just start off by telling you I am not your typical girl. I never have been one to fall in line, I'm all about breaking the mold. She is pissed the rain will mess up her hair, I'll beg you to play in the rain with me. She will want a romantic comedy, I'll want an action movie. She wants to go swimming, I want to go fishing. She wants to go shopping, I want to watch baseball. Camping? Oh, she will only go if there are showers and electricity, I am only going if it's firelight and tents. Long walk on the beach? Let's play Super Nintendo ***! She played with barbies and wanted to be a cheerleader, I played with Hot Wheels and wanted to play football! You mentioned an oil filter? She says "what's that?" I say, "I already know how to change my oil, teach me something else." However, I do still enjoy getting dressed up and going out. I can cook and sew and like most girls, I need a good cry now and then. I'm a very laid back person, easy to please and easy to get along with. It doesn't take much to make me laugh (and I love to laugh). I enjoy reading, music, movies, baseball (Go Tigers!!!), board games, video games, the zoo, sledding, bike riding, running, mowing the lawn, and spending time with my family. I have a great job, been there for 8 years. Honesty is the single most important quality to me, followed very closely by sense of humor. I am a very forgiving person and do my very best to see the good in every person I meet. I'm a kid at heart: I love cartoons and being silly. I'm guess I'm what you'd call a "nerd". I am very passionate about music. I can honestly enjoy just about any genre of it. I have a seven year old son. He is priority one for me, I need someone who can respect that. I would also like to add that although I have a son, I can assure you there is no major drama arising in my life from that situation. My son's father is happily married and I am happily not with him! However, we do work as a team to do what's best for the boy! Something where we could converse; I'm pretty open to most things.
