About Me

I've been on and off this website for a little while. I tend to be quite busy learning new things, such as Dragon Boating, kickboxing, scuba diving and a good old game of Dodgeball! However, I am really looking forward to meeting someone who could perhaps be interested in similar activities or someone to spend the rest of my free time with. I’m the type of person who will try anything, and am a kid at heart.I have a very close relationship with my family and I enjoy spending time with my Dad at our family cottage. I also welcome friends to spend time with me up there! It's gorgeous and very relaxing! I try not to visit the same place twice and see it as if I will never be back. If you are a world traveler, then we'd probably have lots to talk about! There are many places I'd still like to visit, hopefully you'll be my travel partner!I don't have a specific type of guy that I'm looking for physically. For me, it's more about hitting it off with our similar interests and conversations. I can be shy at first, but once you get me talking (e.g., about places I've been), the confident side emerges. I am looking for someone who is outgoing, willing to try new things (not just foods but new activities and visiting new places). I appreciate someone with a good sense of humour because my friends tell me I have a great smile and laugh. I'd like someone who is "take charge" enough to plan a good Saturday night date.     Random facts: My family is my whole reason for breathing. I am Southern, not country or redneck, etc. I enjoy all forms of the arts - I have crazy love for Celic/Irish festivals. I tend to wear a lot of black.I must travel to keep my sanity. My kids and I go on one big trip a year with several weekend getaways thrown in as well. I enjoy dancing - but not really good at it. Sometimes it's all about just acting goofy with the kids, or one of our famous would you rather do this or that games. I am a "soccer mom", "scout mom", "gymnastics mom", and the "mean mom" that makes you clean your room, do your homework and chores, and be quiet and sit still in church. I also am a very "proud mom" at how wonderful my children are growing up to be. I drive fast. Always. For quiet entertainment I like to read. I do love a night out from time to time. Finding new places to eat, some live music...just saying hint hint lolMy faith, although nowhere near where it should be, is my focus these days. I'm love my church and church family and attend every Sunday and every Thursday for Bible study. Failure to support that is a deal breaker. I truly believe that it really is the simple things in life, shared with people I adore, that makes life worth living! Anything can be fun with good company! I am my most happy just spending time with my family and friends. Keep it simple.
