This is my 2nd kick of the can, so to speak. I have decided to update my profile. I'm feeling a bit frustrated because I just did this & lost it all somehow. But, I will give it another try. I am nothing if not resilient. I will attempt to describe myself in a way that is honest, but extremely flattering to me. What is most important for you to hear? I come from an extremely large family & I grew up on a Saskatchewan farm. I will tell you a secret; I love the prairies. I love the sky (especially at night) & I love the flatness of the landscape--the wide-openness of it. You have to be confident in your own survival skills to live on the prairies. I am always proud when people step up the plate during or after a storm to help someone else.***day.Not a big movie-lover or a TV-lover although I don't mind going to the theatre sometimes. I like movies where you see some character development. Sometimes these kinds of movies just make me cry like a baby. Don't ask me why. I get kind of caught up in what's happening, I suppose. I can't say that I really like action movies but I will tolerate them sometimes if there is not a lot of blood &; many others. I don't like country too much but I enjoy listening to "Margaritaville";That Lonesome Road", "Landslide" & "Amazing Grace", if you ask me. And what can you say about The Boss? He's a classic on his own. Have you ever heard him do ";? I like the song anyway but I especially like his rendition.I suppose you could say that I am a work in progress. I look at myself today & think about how I was, even 6 months ago, & I know that I have grown & I don't mean in width. I am not where I want to be yet, by any means, but I am getting there. I also like where I am & I believe that I like myself as I am. That, I must say, has been a long journey & probably not for this profile. I grew up under the tutelage of some really decent people; people with compassion & integrity. These are people who lived honorably (that's an old-fashioned word, I know, but a word not really used enough, in my opinion) so if you want to know what kind of person I am, then think of what those words mean.I am currently working in a human service field. If we ever meet, I will tell you about it. I have aspirations to be self-employed one day. I have my certificate as Life Coach now & hope to get that going. This is all in aid of my goal, which is to see the world.--known or unknown--& just spend a couple days there. I think I will leave my hobbies & interests for another day except to say that I try to be open to new things. So that's me in a nutshell. Hopefully, I will be able to post this without too much trouble. . The coffee thing seems to be the biggest first date option. I suppose it is the easiest & gives you a chance to talk to the other person. I like walks, though. There are so many places in this city that are really pretty. I am not going to put more down right now. In my last profile, I did go on, so I am going to keep this short & sweet.

    I work in retail management and love my job. My goal is to do the job I'm doing on a District/Regional level.     I have been searching for a few years now to find someone for a longterm relationship. It is not easy to find someone in my age group who has a similar semi-retired lifestyle.ABOUT ME: Of course there is much more to know, (I have had a very adventurous life and the grass does not change colour under my feet, nor does the sand sink very much, lol.); but this below touches on some major basic points.I am 55, almost 56; I have 2 daughters, ages 31 and 34 and I have 4 lovely grandsons.I love children and people of all ages, but am not a huge socialite, prefering to spend more time at home or with one or two other couples (I don't like crowds or crowded places.)I left an 18-year relationship because he got old and grumpy and I knew there had to be more to life. I then had a 4-year relationship with a man from a different country and there were too many differences. I have now been basically on my own for over 3 years and really not liking living alone very much. I would love to have a man in my life, the one who will do me for the rest of my life hopefully.My two biggest prerequesites in men are a sense of humor, a loving and romantic man who likes attention and someone who can spend months somewhere south on a beach in the winter.-end of things, no fancy resorts, but a rented apartment for ***month. I currently own a van, but have owned an RV in the past. I have not attempted any single RV trips as of yet. I have a dream of having one of those old English double--storey motorhome (no basement needed, as the newer RVs have - got too much junk that you need a basement then get rid of the junk!) I am very honest and down to earth. I do not play games. I know what I want out of life. I generally do my part-time work on the computer (medical editing), around domestic chores, however, I do not really have a set schedule. I prefer to 'work around my life' *** 'living around my work'. I like my place, whether it be a house, trailer, apartment, bungalow, RV or wherever I am living, to have plants and flowers and nice color- I no longer own a house. I do not watch much television, but like sitting and crocheting while my partner watches TV (so the remote is all his), I like to go for walks, picnics, lunches at small quaint places. I am not a city woman, and not high maintenance. I like to spend time on my computer, I do enjoy the computer other than work, researching things, communicating with family and friends, etc. I am not addicted to any video games. My birthday is on Nov 29, ***and I am a sagittarius. I do not like stress of any kind, I do not like to be rushed. Also, I am not a health nut, but am encourageable.I do not cheat when I am in a relationship. I do not like one-night stands, or even two-month stands for that matter, but would like to find long term. I don't like good-byes.As for nasty habits, I am currently taking Champix, and have cut down to a few cigs a day, expecting to be totally quit next week, I do drink, but do not frequent lounges or bars. I am not into drugs of any kind. I have been gettting away from winters here quite regularly in the last bunch of years.I am not one to have dinner at 4 and bed at 10. I get up when I feel like it, take afternoon naps sometimes and go to bed when I am tired, whether it be early or late. I have been married twice (2 strikes I am still in the game), so will do my best not to strike out on the last marriage of my life.- lol. (not on the first date I guess).Realistically, a snack or lunch with a glass of spirits on an outdoor patio or beach.
