About Me

I'm a 50-year-old professional woman with a demanding job and a creative edge, driven by energy that mostly gets released at the gym. I love music of all sorts -- especially alt rock; play guitar and sing; avidly read and write (in fact, I'm currently commissioned to write a book), and very much involved with my family. I have two grown children and a teen-aged son who lives with me. He keeps me young. He's a great young man.I'm into whole foods and deeply committed to fitness. I love the movie theater but I don't watch a lot of TV (though I have a few favorite shows). I love theater, dancing, concerts, the beach .... I love my job as a magazine and newspaper managing editor, as well as a number of freelance gigs I juggle for fun and to grow. In fact, at this point in my life I am largely about personal growth. You know -- halfway to a hundred and taking stock of things. Isn't the first date awkward? That's why I would like ours to be actually doing something besides sitting looking at one another over dinner and beverages. Let's go out and play. The possibilities are endless. I think people learn more about each other while engaged in reality than they do in a few strained hours.
