About Me

My family still lives fairly close and are a fixture in my life. I have amazing friends also and I cherish their friendships. I prefer to spend time outside of the home at parks, concerts, gatherings or game nights. I enjoy an occasional night at a bar, but tend to spend my time locally. I have two rock star kids that are pretty active in sports and keep me busy. They are with me most days, but they have a great dad and phenomenal grandparents that help me out. I'm pretty laid back and am looking for a someone to spend time with and go out with. Sometimes it just hard always being the third wheel!! I'm pretty open when it comes to a first date. I'd much rather got to a hole in the wall than a fancy restaurant, but it's not out of the question. I'd like to be able to talk and get to know the person than be somewhere loud and somewhere we can't talk, like a movie.

    Hello! Thank you for 'swimming' by. I am new to the area and I am looking to meet people and find out more about the city. I can find a friend in most people but I am looking for that special connection that doesn't come around easily. I am very real and very honest. I have ample free time but choose not to spend that time getting sucked into drama. I say what I mean and mean what I say. If you get 'butt' hurt easily then we might not get along... lol. I'm health conscious and always working on better lifestyle changes. I would struggle being with someone who didn't try to take good care of themselves.     If I had to sum up myself in three simple sentences, I would say this: I teach. I travel. I write. That’s the heading on my travel blog.
