The Ugly……Let’s start with that, and see if you make it down to the bottom of this.I am attracted to Caucasian men who have more hair on the top of their head than they do on their face, mustaches in particular. Tats, piercings....uh-uh. I am physically fit, and prefer to have not too much jelly on my roll. Six pack abs not required….I don’t have them either. I am 52, but I am not old….yet. That won’t work for me.The Bad…..My daughter is now away at college, and I find myself being more thankful for the company of my dog. I relish my solitude at times, but at the end of the day, miss having a best friend and lover here. Becoming best friends takes time ...they make for the best lovers. I moved around quite a bit when I was younger, and traveled a lot in my early adulthood. This taught me well how to BE a good friend…. I read people well, and am not often wrong about what I see. Raising a child has trained me to think, before I speak or act....it has given me grace. I am a reserved and private person, and I protect myself carefully. If you are some kind of kook, I will figure that out pretty quickly.The Good…..Thanks for making it to the good. In general, I am a happy girl. I love belly laughs, and though can be serious when the situation requires, am light hearted by nature. I am inclined to see the positive…..the glass is always half full. I am also very smart....and can be a smart ass, but all in good fun.I have a small business, and my hours are flexible. I am not financially wealthy, but it pays the mortgage. The best part about my job is that I wake every morning, and have a good feeling about going to work. I truly care about my clients, and feel blessed in so many ways. This winter, I plan to get back into my workshop and start making books and boxes again, and marketing them. My business slows in the winter, and I am looking forward to having the time and creative energy to get back into something that feeds my soul.I like old rock and roll, the blues, and alternative rock. I listen to music daily. I love to learn about new things, and I love the outdoors. I got my destructive ya ya's out a long time ago....no drama here...just good ya ya's left, and plenty of them. You don't get much more real than this girl. I am honest, kind, loving, and rock solid. People that know me well would tell you that I am very sweet, and sensitive to others. A sense of humor, kindness, and big picture thinking are a must. Pettiness don't ever fly. Quiet strength in a man goes a long way with me; I like to feel protected.     It's always hard describing myself so let's try this. My friends have described me as sensitive, caring, loyal, compassionate, having inner strength and of course a good sense of humour (actually a little twisted). My kids are always moaning about my jokes. I love last minute weekend getaways and drives to nowhere special- maybe the beach but it's getting a little cool for that now. I really enjoy the outdoors. In the nice weather I'd much rather be outside by water- pool, lake, ocean, whatever. I enjoy walking along the waterfront, hiking, dinner, movies, wine tours, swimming, rollerblading (love it but haven’t done it in awhile), plays, sports events- Leafs, Jays etc. Pilates is my new favourite. Got hooked on it a couple of years ago and now I go to classes 3 times a week. That being said, I still enjoy watching a good movie or TV show and snuggling with a special person. I do like holding hands, cuddling, and spending quiet time together as well..I like all types of music from rock to classical but my favourites are rock***s, 80s and current. This is going to sound really serious but I believe in the principles of fairness and “do unto others”. If you treat others with respect and kindness, you won’t always get it back in return but most times you will. I’m looking for someone with similar interests but someone who can also introduce me to new things. A good sense of humour and the ability to make me laugh are a must. Right now I'm just looking to date, get out and enjoy life. If it turns into more, that would be great, but no pressure.
