The Ugly……Let’s start with that, and see if you make it down to the bottom of this.I am attracted to Caucasian men who have more hair on the top of their head than they do on their face, mustaches in particular. I moved around quite a bit when I was younger, and traveled a lot in my early adulthood. This taught me well how to BE a good friend…. I read people well, and am not often wrong about what I see. Raising a child has trained me to think, before I speak or act....it has given me grace. I am a reserved and private person, and I protect myself carefully. If you are some kind of kook, I will figure that out pretty quickly.The Good…..Thanks for making it to the good. In general, I am a happy girl. I love belly laughs, and though can be serious when the situation requires, am light hearted by nature. I am inclined to see the positive…..the glass is always half full. I am also very smart....and can be a smart ass, but all in good fun.I have a small business, and my hours are flexible. I am not financially wealthy, but it pays the mortgage. The best part about my job is that I wake every morning, and have a good feeling about going to work. I truly care about my clients, and feel blessed in so many ways. This winter, I plan to get back into my workshop and start making books and boxes again, and marketing them. My business slows in the winter, and I am looking forward to having the time and creative energy to get back into something that feeds my soul.I like old rock and roll, the blues, and alternative rock. I listen to music daily. I love to learn about new things, and I love the outdoors. I got my destructive ya ya's out a long time ago....no drama here...just good ya ya's left, and plenty of them. You don't get much more real than this girl. I am honest, kind, loving, and rock solid. People that know me well would tell you that I am very sweet, and sensitive to others. A sense of humor, kindness, and big picture thinking are a must. Pettiness don't ever fly. Quiet strength in a man goes a long way with me; I like to feel protected. Mid-life has officially begun for me. I'm not feeling the rush to achieve as I did in youth. I'm certainly not over-the-hill! As a parent of grown sons, I enjoy, and anticipate grandchildren. I've yet to sit still long enough to write a best-seller (on my bucket list? maybe), though yarn gives me reason to pause at the end of most days. Okay, I confess, I like to knit. A lot. I'm a crafty *** I paint on canvas, calligraphy for weddings and in Asian style, like to sew, collage, and restore or reinvent (the young folks call it up-cycle!). With me there is never a dull moment. I enjoy the company of my kids, would love to live where I could adopt a cat or dog (Did I mention that I used to rescue mastiffs? They're more pony than dog, but loveable nonetheless.). Life is full and God is good. It would be fun to share the good things with a companion. No pressure, no drama, no game-playing. Just interested in get acquainted, enjoy some laughs (maybe a coffee or a bottle of wine?) and see where things lead. I've been known to invite a gentleman up to see my etchings, or for dinner and a movie...ya just never know where things will lead! I like a man to choose a first date's details. It shows the mettle of a man when he can orchestrate a thoughtful first date. It's not what he spends, or who he's connected with, but the effort to plan and execute, with room for spontaneous change, well, that's attractive! And, usually grounds for a second date...
