It's always hard describing myself so let's try this. My friends have described me as sensitive, caring, loyal, compassionate, having inner strength and of course a good sense of humour (actually a little twisted). My kids are always moaning about my jokes. I love last minute weekend getaways and drives to nowhere special- maybe the beach but it's getting a little cool for that now. I really enjoy the outdoors. In the nice weather I'd much rather be outside by water- pool, lake, ocean, whatever. I enjoy walking along the waterfront, hiking, dinner, movies, wine tours, swimming, rollerblading (love it but haven’t done it in awhile), plays, sports events- Leafs, Jays etc. Pilates is my new favourite. Got hooked on it a couple of years ago and now I go to classes 3 times a week. That being said, I still enjoy watching a good movie or TV show and snuggling with a special person. I do like holding hands, cuddling, and spending quiet time together as well..I like all types of music from rock to classical but my favourites are rock***s, 80s and current. This is going to sound really serious but I believe in the principles of fairness and “do unto others”. If you treat others with respect and kindness, you won’t always get it back in return but most times you will. I’m looking for someone with similar interests but someone who can also introduce me to new things. A good sense of humour and the ability to make me laugh are a must. Right now I'm just looking to date, get out and enjoy life. If it turns into more, that would be great, but no pressure. Mid-life has officially begun for me. I'm not feeling the rush to achieve as I did in youth. I'm certainly not over-the-hill! As a parent of grown sons, I enjoy, and anticipate grandchildren. I've yet to sit still long enough to write a best-seller (on my bucket list? maybe), though yarn gives me reason to pause at the end of most days. Okay, I confess, I like to knit. A lot. I'm a crafty *** I paint on canvas, calligraphy for weddings and in Asian style, like to sew, collage, and restore or reinvent (the young folks call it up-cycle!). With me there is never a dull moment. I enjoy the company of my kids, would love to live where I could adopt a cat or dog (Did I mention that I used to rescue mastiffs? They're more pony than dog, but loveable nonetheless.). Life is full and God is good. It would be fun to share the good things with a companion. No pressure, no drama, no game-playing. Just interested in get acquainted, enjoy some laughs (maybe a coffee or a bottle of wine?) and see where things lead. I've been known to invite a gentleman up to see my etchings, or for dinner and a movie...ya just never know where things will lead! I like a man to choose a first date's details. It shows the mettle of a man when he can orchestrate a thoughtful first date. It's not what he spends, or who he's connected with, but the effort to plan and execute, with room for spontaneous change, well, that's attractive! And, usually grounds for a second date...
