About Me

I am a patient, caring, and loving man who is looking for a great partner and best friend that I can share experiences and adventures with. Someone easy going with an open mind, an active, affectionate, honest, and fun woman. I enjoy walking, hiking, watching sports, and playing sports. I just finished a coed softball league. Also going out for dinner and cookie dough. I like most music from rock to country and from blues to salsa. I love to relax to the Caribbean sounds of the steel drums. Don't worry, be happy :)I like movies, concerts, cultural events, dancing, and travel. Just doing almost anything together, but aware enough to give some space. I'm a Christian man who loves to cuddle, hold hands, have fun, and will treat you with respect. Looking forward to hearing from you. Meeting at a coffee shop or for some frozen yogurt.

Looking for: woman. In age: 50-60

Loyal and honest guy, seeking the same qualities. Adventurous, spontaneous and love to travel. Love being outdoors, anything to do with water, off-roading, exploring, etc. Music is a big part of my life. I play the guitar and bass, and have been in several bands over the years (from Blues to Hard Rock) ..but now I'm content to just work in the studio rather than be onstage. I love animals and children, and they love me too. (I seem to have a profound case of animal magnetism) I'm laid back and down to earth with no ego or anger issues. I'm very protective of those I love. Been single for 7 years so I've unpacked all my "baggage" and gave all the things that didn't fit me anymore to Goodwill. Not a heavy drinker, but I do enjoy a good glass of wine, or a pint or two of Guinness or Heineken with some stimulating conversation. Honesty, trust and communication are very important to me. I have an overactive sense of humor and can even make myself laugh (mostly at myself too) Sarcasm wasn't listed as a 2nd language on here, but if it was I would've checked it.;Dude" and "Rad" are still part of my vernacular. I'm usually quiet and reserved, but I can also be very sociable and quite the deep conversationalist. I have a very keen sense of intuition, I can read people just by looking into their eyes. So if you're a liar or dishonest I will know. I may not say anything ..but I will know.; flip flops and still look sexy. Turn offs: Drama, liars, psycho-babbling egotistical types, excessive makeup, fake nails & fake bQQbs are highly overrated. I prefer "natural" women that take good care of their bodies. If you have a couple extra pounds that's ok, but if I can't carry or at least drag you out of a burning building then you are gonna die!Note: If you listen to Mariachi, Gangsta Rap or Country music incessantly, or put your makeup on with a putty knife and a paint brush then please keep scrolling down the fish list ..cuz I'm not the one! If you want to know more, just ask.. I will respond."Nothing ventured, nothing gained" Any public place with good vibes, music, food, drinks ..and stratigically located escape routes

**Sep ***How is it possible to go away from this site and come back and see the exact same people? :) :) :) :) ** Okay, so I have taken out my little mini-novel; this is the "short" version of my profile LOL. :)When I first put my profile out here quite some time ago, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I wrote that I must be completely bananas and that I hoped that this place would be “a peeling” in one way or another. After a short while, I reached an epiphany. That is, maybe I shouldn’t be looking at what I can “take” from this place. Perhaps I should also be looking at what I can contribute. (Think JFK’s speech but apply it to cyberspace. ) Isn't that just totally bananas? So yes, I decided to make lemons out of lemonade. Where is that “lemon” icon???? I know some of you will think this is cheesy and maybe even ridiculous, but here are some of the things I have been doing lately:- answering every single *** me regardless of my “interest”- writing to people who seem down for the “soul” purpose of lifting them up- being a friend to those who request it and offering whatever wisdom I might have.Do I have tons of free time on my hands? Believe it or not, I don’t. I just believe that the way we behave in cyberspace should parallel the way we behave in the “real world.” Am I the only one out here who believes that "character" is really important in an individual? For what it's worth, here is some free advice that is hopefully worth at least a few cents more than what you paid for it! If you ladies find yourself attracted to a certain guy, I encourage you to guard your heart intitially and look as deeply as you can at that individual. When all the “props” are removed, what is left? Can you really trust that person? Will he really care about you in the good times and not so good times? Will he stick around in the long-run? Character, character, character. It's not what the man drives, but what drives the man. A few more details about me:My Objective for Being Out Here: Although it's nice to log in once in a while to a mailbox full of messages, that's not the reason I'm here. For me, it’s really not about filling up the boat with fish. It’s about making quality connections. Quality is better than quantity any day. And when I say quality, it doesn't mean that you have to be perfect. Nobody is. (Well, I'm just about there, LOL. ) In fact, from my point of view, it doesn't matter where you have been or what you have done, if you are in the process of constantly striving to become a better person, then I'm very impressed.Paying it Forward Online: The Golden Rule. Awesome, isn't it? I think it applies to online communication as well as face to face communication. I would encourage everyone to behave as if the person who wrote to you were sitting right next to you. Maybe that person is not your type. In fact, odds are, that person is not your type. He or she could be too heavy, too thin, too tall, too short, too far away, too close, too old, too young, too, too, too something. And that's okay. But if our kind words and/or behavior online can lift up someone's day, why not pay it forward? Just my 2 cents worth. Philippians 2:3: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves."Honesty: I will always be honest with you, even with the minor issues. Isn't it better to go through life with the truth, even if it sometimes stings? On Being Myself: I agree with what I once heard someone say, "I would rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not."Age: I notice that this site allows you to exclude people from writing to you for certain reasons. One of these is age. All are free to contact me. Marital Status: I have never been married and have no children. Anything wrong with me? Yes, actually I look like a monkey and am addicted to organic bananas. Well, that's only partly true. ** BTW My preference is someone who has never been married before, and who has no children. There are of course, exceptions. :) **Religion: I am a Christian and try to live my life by Christian principles. I am a work in progress. I will always be a work in progress! Hopefully, each day, I can improve my life in some way, and in some way make the world a better place. I don't consider myself to be "religious" if that makes any sense.Health: I am somewhere around the 5'8" area and around average weight. I am also a vegetarian - almost vegan. It is important to me to try to live a healthy lifestyle because I believe that our physical, psychological, and emotional components are very much interconnected. Also, I am a vegetarian for more than health reasons. There is enough cruelty in the world without me adding to it. Of course, this does not mean that you have to be a veggie too. . . .;I never let my schooling interfere with my education." :) I will just say I have a lot of potential "interference." :) However, I realize that there are those with very little education who are "smarter" and wiser than even the most highly educated. I believe that our education never ends. We are all fish in the "school" of life. My Photos: Since this site seems to be sea- :)Answering *** know it sometimes takes courage for people to send *** here. In the past, I have answered all of my *** now, I will do the best the I can. :)A Couple of Questions for You: 1) How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?2) What is one thing you've done in your life that you are really proud of?"Describe what would you do for a first date. (optional) "I'm not sure what I would do. It's really not about the "doing" or about the "location" but about the person. With the right person, I could have a picnic next to a dumpster.
