About Me

Where to start? I enjoy working in the yard and gardening in the warmer months and can usually be found on my patio grilling or entertaining in some fashion or other.Enjoy entrtaining, espically during the holidays. I love to cook and infact, just made a batch of chilli this evening. Have always loved classical music of all genres from middle ages to Baroque, Romantic, Opera. Others too quite varied. Upon growing up hearing the older stuff am admitidly a little bit of a snob in contrasting that to the more recent offerings of today. Like Bluegrass and know it when I hear it as I grew up with quite a bit of it. Can talk with a twang as the need strikes and it can surprise others when I do. My friends, family and those who know me would say I'm a sincere and caring person with a wicked sense of humor that can be experienced better than described. It can be sharp and witty. I also love antiques and working on projects fixing up my condo. Iove my home and sharing it with others making them feel welcome and wouldn't trade where I live for all the money in the world. My favorate season of the year is summer, although I enjoy all of them for what they each offer. Am at a point in life where I am enjoying myself but it would be nice to have that special person to share moments, interests and events in lfe with. There is much more to me than mentioned here and to say I've had an interesting life would be a bit of an underststement when I take a moment to think about it all. If you would like to know more and/or like what I have said and would like to say hello, it would be a plesure hearing from you. A first date could be anything from getting together to cook a meal to going out to a nice place for dinner a little out of the way so we can talk and get to know each other. It could also be a nice afternoon walking down a quaint main street here in CT, looking at the shops and browsing. The opportunity to enjoy and get to know each other is importiant to me and I hope as importiant to a perspective date. Am also open to trying things and interests that my date might want to try too as it might give me the opportunity to try things I may never have thouht of before.

    Last November I was surprised by Corporate Restructuring and have since found new employment with a client of my former employer. I’m an optimist so I wasn’t worried. Only spent 3 months without gainful employment. The RI Dept. of Unemployment is a boondoggle to say the least.Now, I work happily from home. I lost my 2 oldest dogs, 15 and 10.5, in July. It’s not been a great year for that sort of thing. BUT, I have 2 pups, 2 and 1, who keep me going all the time. They LOVE that I work at home. Yogi and Bear are wonderful company.Not into clubs and "the scene"! I prefer places where I can hear the conversation and not have to shout back. I'm concentrating on the real, the now, the positive!I am gregarious and open to new experiences. Love meeting new interesting people. Dining in or out is good; I love to cook, bake, and experiment. I enjoy making my own bread. I really enjoy finding a great bottle of wine at a ridiculously low price. I'm successful quite often!I would like to meet someone who has a strong sense of friendship and family. I have a varied collection of friends; some on-going for ***years.
