Sometimes, I like to be alone, just the dogs and me. I tend to be shy until I get to know someone. But, my professional life has always required me to be "on" all the time. So, I can be "on" too when I need to be. My friends tell me that I'm a good listener because I never get in the middle and can usually see both sides of a situation. I tend to let my guard down too easily, and sometimes, I worry over nothing. All in all, I believe that life is what you make it. What else can it be? I believe in taking things as they come. What else can you do? I'm partial to oil massages, candle lit dinners and walks outside. I love sunsets, campfires, toasty marsh mellows and a good, strong mocha. I love sunrises, too, but I tend to sleep right through them most days. It is important to tell people that you love them while they can still hear you and to say thanks whenever you get the opportunity to do so. Put some change in parking meters that have expired. Take time to smile at a baby and to scratch a dog behind the ears, to pick up a piece of trash someone left behind and say thanks when someone holds the door for you. Getting to know you.
