About Me

Hi! I’m a single mother of twin boys and feeling better than I have in years. I’m looking for friends and perhaps more if I can meet the right person. I’m not ready to rush headlong into anything serious but if it happens I'm certainly open to it. I’m independent, enjoy my job, own my own home and I’m certainly not looking for anyone to take care of me or be a stepdad to my children. I’m looking to get to know some new friends, have some fun together, and possibly develop a relationship if things head in that direction.That being said I’m happy being single and just enjoying life! I have time to try new things and spend time with friends, both old and new. I'm a good listener, a good friend, and my friends tell me that I am one of the most patient girls you’re likely to meet. I’m fairly laid back and low key. I relish the simple things in life and you’re unlikely to find a lot of drama surrounding me! I do enjoy movies, some, but not a lot of TV, trying new restaurants, and revisiting some old favorites. I’m always up for a weekend away, a trip to the beach or wherever I think might be fun or interesting. But I can be perfectly content with chillin at home with a few drinks or playing some games.While I grew up in the South, I'm not really all that much of a country girl. I’m not too big on camping or fishing but it’s all good if you are. And who knows, perhaps you can try to change my mind. :-) I’m fairly liberal on politics, but I’m fine if you’re not. Religiously I’d label myself as spiritual but not really religious.I eat most anything but I’m not a huge fan of sushi. I was vegetarian but gave that up a few years ago. I enjoy different kinds of music, but I’m a child of the 80s so anything from that time period holds a special place in my heart, even the old hair bands! I grew up listening to old country and like some of the new as well. I like other stuff as well and I’d love to explore some new music. Anything you want to know, just ask. I can be serious, practical, silly and adventurous indoors and out :) I believe in treating others as I want to be treated. I'm very happy and content in my own life and my own skin.     I am a animal lover. I just recently lost one of my horses, so now I am down to 2. I have 1 dog, 1 "granddog" and 1 "grandcat". I listen to just about anything but rap, but most of the time country is playing. Nothing like a good cold drink listening to some country music. I do drink, but not like a fish. Maybe, if I am lucky, once a month, again, that's if I am luck. I feel alcohol doesn't make a person, does just the opposite. I have 2 children, both over the age of 18. I am a "Yankee transplant". I maybe a Yankee by birth, but I am a Southerner by choice! I have been back in Bama now since ***, after being gone for ***yrs.I have a huge heart (that people take for granted). I will do anything to help a friend (ok almost anything, as long as I don't end up in jail unless that friend is right there beside me). I am about as laid back as they come. I don't need to be wined and dined (even though at times its nice to go out). Grabbing a pizza and sitting on the couch to watch tv is perfectly fine with me. I don't have a problem with being outside (unless its extremely hot, I am still adjusting to the Bama heat). Love to cook. During the winter, I am found usually in the kitchen making homemade chicken and noodle soup or chicken and dumplins. Love to cook, did I say that? lol Always up for grilling, sitting by a fire and just relaxing.Anything else you want to know, I am pretty well an open book, so just ask! Wow! It's been a long time. I guess it would need to be some place on neutral grounds so that both parties don't feel pressured. Lunch? Dinner? Movie? I don't care for the bar scene, never know what you are going to get in a bar. I am pretty open to what the other party would like to do. Just a relaxing time, to see if there is any chemistry.
