I have begun to wonder if the description part even matters. So many people look at the pictures and make their decisions on who someone is....how fair is that? I work with young children and the thing I love the most about them is that they "see" the real person, they don't judge. If only more people were like little children in that way! There is so much more to me than my size or what I look like. I am a romantic at heart. I feel that there is someone special for each of us...that one person who brings out the best in you and makes you smile for no other reason than the fact that you were thinking of them. I believe that relationships take work but that the end result is what puts the smile on your face and in your heart. I try to give to others in whatever way I can that will make them feel special and cared about. I have many interests....movies, attending sporting events, concerts (variety of genres), hiking, walking etc. I am also able to speak a few different languages.....football, nascar, and basketball and am willing to learn more languages :-) I have learned from the mistakes in my past and I don't judge others by the actions of those in my past and I am hoping to find someone who feels the same way. Who says the second time around can't be better than the first?!? I try to find the positive in all things and enjoy a good laugh. I really enjoy being around someone who is witty with a great sense of humor. My youngest just graduated from high school and will be heading off to join his older brother in the USAF and I am about to enter a new chapter of my life and I am looking forward to seeing what gets written in the book of my life. I know I am not model material but I am NOT lazy. I walk several times a week, have completed Bloomsday the past two years. I hope to find the man who will take the time to find out who I am! I am a person who sees the strengths in others and I don't give up on people.....I would love to meet someone who is the same way. I have admit I have an ulterior motive for joining this site: I recently saw on the news that people in committed relationships live 10 years longer than those who aren't! Let's save each others life...I don't know about you but I want those extra 10 years! ;-) If you are interested in making a new friend...I'd love to hear from you. They are the most important people in my life and I spend as much time with them as I can. I find that I am most attracted to a man who makes his family a priority and is involved with his children. A man who treats or treated his mother like she is god's gift to the world, speaks volumes to the man that he is. A true gentleman is a MUST in my book, as well.. It's all just great stuff!! I know that I want to be with a man who is secure in who he is and who knows how to treat a woman! Someone who can show his feelings and be honest about what he thinks. Beating around the bush is such a waste of time!! Don't you think? It is important to me that he takes pride in taking care of himself and knows how to enjoy the finer things life has to offer.(and the little things) :) I enjoy being out and about and would probably not do well with someone who is a MAJOR home body. Cozying up and relaxing at home is always nice, just not when it is 75 degrees and sunny outside! Look where we live!! I LOVE IT!! I have this little problem where my mind sometimes thinks my body is 24 years old. I am slowly learning...especially after a pretty major elbow surgery this past year! I do hope that I will always be able to participate in some sort of "sport" for many years to come! I am a romantic and a very sensual woman. Romance can happen anywhere..cooking dinner together and bumping into one another as we move around the kitchen...taking a walk and holding hands...locking eyes across a room and knowing that we are both thinking the same thing.. and kissing..and kissing..mmmm..I am also a fan of time for "ourselves"..if you like an occassional golf trip or hunting excursion with the boys, fine by me! I value my "alone" or "girl time". Two people who can maintain some range of "self" while being part of a great couple will stay together longer. Curious about the other 99.9% ? That would depend..... I'm not a big fan of "coffee dates"

    The NW is so beautiful and I love to get out and hike, walk, and run outside in all types of weather...it's so wonderful here, and I plan to stay for the long haul because this is my home. I train for and run half marathons, etc, but I am still very curvy.
