About Me

I am an RN, I enjoy being outdoors, I like hanging out with friends, I have a wide variety of taste in music, I love Steeler football, I like to take weekend get-aways, and I love the beach...I like to keep things simple, I do not hang out in bars although I do enjoy an occasional night out, I am not looking for someone to take care of me...I already know how to do that. I do not tolerate being lied to for any reason. I like taking drives to no where, walking, mmmm coffee, don't really cook much.... I can, I just don't, that's not to say if somebody wanted to help then I would be up for it. I like family get togethers and grilling out...weather permitting of course. I love the sun and tanning.......yep I'm a nurse, I know it's not good for the skin and there are risks involved...such is life. I'm not a brainiac but I know the difference between men/man, women/woman, their, there, and they're, then/than, whether/weather, sense/since, picture/pitcher, your/you're......well you get the idea...right? I know how to carry on a conversation, and how to pick and choose my battles. What I'm looking for.....hmmm....let me try this, Although outward appearance is important, I mean, c'mon, there has to be physical attraction....it's not what I solely look for and everybody has their own opinion of what they find attractive....if you're silly and can make me laugh..all the better. Here are a few things that somewhat irritate me...just a little:Bathroom PicsPics with ex girlfriend/wife cropped outPics of you showing off your guns/abs, you in your underwear...........seriously...get over yourself..I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with taking care of yourself, self-confidence is good, but half-naked pics shouldn't be used to get a date.....that's just my opinion...doesn't make it right or wrong, just my opinion...it may impress some..just not meMen saying..."Looking for a good, honest woman"...     I work hard for everything in life. I hate living in the city and yet that's where I am. I think heaven to me is the country............grow a garden( I love to grow things).     Hey there! I find men that have a crazy sarcastic wit about them very attractive. A sense of humor is first and foremost one of the best qualities a person can possess. I love having debates and political conversations and I want someone to challenge me. It cracks me up that men on here (and women, I'm sure) can't be polite if someone *** they are not interested in. We are all adults. Being nice really isn't that difficult.While I realize we all have baggage I try very hard to keep my life simple and positive. I hope to find the same in a man. And, if you have a photo of you and a deer you just killed I'm pretty sure we won't get along too well! That, and nipple piercings are sort of dealbreakers!I work as a photojournalist at a newspaper and love my job...I can't imagine doing anything else.Money doesn't impress me and I get bored very quickly when men try to "wow" me with a laundry list of stuff they have bought.While I have some extra pounds on me I do go to the gym, go trail hiking, eat organic, and haven't eaten red meat or pork in almost 25 years. I have an extremely active job that keeps me running around each day. That said I am working on getting into better shape to feel even better about who I am.Many of my friends tell me I could get a wall to talk to me so I would say I can talk about pretty much anything. I randomly talk to strangers and love meeting interesting people that way. I am a very independent but I'm at a point where I really want to share the fun of life with another person. I want someone to cook for when I come home from work and go out to new, fun restaurants and try new food! Someone to pamper and spoil and watch football with all day on Sundays. I have that I don't want children only because realistically at 43 I just don't think it is gonna happen! However, I love kids and would welcome any man that has them.I'm easy-going and I'm up for almost anything....I'm a big explorer and love trying new things. Anything relaxed and fun....I'm not someone to be nervous on a date so I'm up for anything!

    I find this hard to do (write about myself) but I would consider myself pretty laid back and easy going. I am very independent but also would like someone to spend time with.
