I have set goals in my life and i am reaching them slowly but surely. I have made a better life for myself didnt have the best past experiences...wit exes, drugs etc...will never be proud of the drugs i chose to use while i was wit my exes, but it made me realize what i dont want and the type of guy i do want. I dont want a guy who does drugs, an ***hole, or thinks he better than everyone else...i am down to earth, like everyone i have a past. But if u really wanna get to know someone ask and strike up a conversation u can make the judgmenet for urself Will know when start talking where first date should be

Got back in November from traveling for ***months in Asia, so needless to say, travel is a pretty big part of my life! Graduated this past April from UofA with a degree in Sociology/Political Science. Currently I'm working to save money to jet off and travel/work abroad. I love meeting people from around the world and try to keep my appetite for travel fed by volunteering teaching English and (before I left to go traveling) working in a Backpacker's hostel. I go out every now and then but I'm no "bar star" anymore - it's not cheap!!! It's a phase everyone goes through I guess haha. I read quite a bit and my Christmas gift this year was a Kindle, and I love it. Just finished reading a collection of a series of interviews with Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi. I would really like to visit Burma, so it is interesting to hear her views on the current situation there. I also keep up with current events, as I am a Political Science minor, and enjoy reading about politics and what's going on in the world in general.Another hobby of mine is cooking. I'm not saying I'm great at it, but I don't think I totally suck at it. I like coming home and cooking (most nights, except when I'm really wiped!), it helps the whole transition from "work to real life" thing. And I'm in a much better mood if I eat something that wasn't originally from the freezer section (although those pizzas are nice every now and then.....starting to get into the Sheepdogs, it was a natural leap as I enjoy 60s/70s hits as well and I think they have that good old school rock flavour. I like some R&B and popular country every now and then too.My goals in life definitely include a lot more travel plans, including working overseas. I'm not a "straight line" career/life path type person. I have lots of ideas and direction, but I try not to limit myself to thinking "school/career/house/family" Now that I've started out in the work world I see it a lot and don't see it as something I would enjoy...I'd always be thinking "What if I had done..." For first dates I like to just get to know a guy, coffee is always good. I like it when a guy tries to be original though!
