About Me

I am genuine, principled, loyal, funny, intelligent, physically active, good-hearted, well-grounded, flexible, neat, mentally stable, drug-free, low-maintenance, and self-sufficient. Five of my six pictures were taken within the past 6 months. Some of my varied interests are (in no particular order): fishing, boating, scuba- I have recently started competing in running/obstacle/mud challenges. I do, of course, have lots of other interests, but I might as well save some things for you to discover on your own. I am height/weight proportionate. I have been divorced for over six years and have two kids -- my daughter is in college, and my son is in his third year of high school. You should be a non-smoker and be active; no sofa spuds, druggies, or alcoholics. You need to have a fairly good sense of humor and the ability to laugh at yourself. I will certainly provide many opportunities to laugh at me, so it’s only fair! It would be nice if you shared some of the same interests as me, though every single one is not necessary. Please no Don Juan Gigilos -- if you're not interested in being in a one-woman relationship, then save yourself the time of contacting me. Been there, done that . . . . made for a not-so-fun "war" story. I am looking for a long-term relationship with one man; not a quick "jump in the sack". That doesn't mean I feel the need to get married right away, if at all. I just have no desire to be a notch in someone's bachelor belt. At this stage of our lives, everyone has obligations, whether it be kids, family, work, home. If you will be respectful of my responsibilities, I will respect yours as well. And one day in the future, it is my hope that those individual responsibilities will become “shared” ones. I don't plan on relocating anytime within the next several years, so you should be mindful of our mutual locations. I do not like deceitful people -- if you cannot be honest about your age, height, marital status etc. in your profile, then you certainly can't be truthful in 'real' life. If your main photo looks like a mugshot, or you look like you're genuinely unhappy to be alive, for Heaven's sake, take a new one !! And if your profile begins by saying "This is a waste of time", then maybe you should try to find your true love at the bar. Negativity is not attractive. One final note, and I apologize if this comes across as crass, or if I hurt anyone's feelings, but I'm not really into interracial dating.Good luck fishing . . .

    I think I am finally courageous enough to start online dating and meet new people. I am a real Southerner so being online feels strange to me-guess you could say I'm traditional. Like to cook and love to eat, try new things. Antiquing and thrift shops are fun and I could spend a whole day in home depot thinking about lots of fun creative projects for my home and garden. My girls and i volunteer alot around town and that's a meaningful value to pass on but have fun with too. I don't have time for tv but don't think I'm missing anything much? Mass is always a part of my weekend. I'm a home owner, stable in my job and don't need anyone to care for me financially: blessed by God in so many ways. In a contradictory way, I'm a total badass, but also very loving, nurturing, affectionate and spsiritual. Yes, sassy and sweet too. I'm looking forward to spending time with people with a good, benevolent, moral value system, their head on their shoulders *** somewhere else (!) a sense of humor and humility as well as a great laugh. I don't want to date a boy, I want to date a Man with a capital M who knows who he is, what he does and doesnt stand for and what he wants out of life. Just like Sheryl Crow wants to know "Are you strong enough to be my man?"
