Yay...let it snow, it offers so much fun. It affords free excersice (shoveling), snow shoeing, cross country skiing and is just plain beautiful to be out in. I have a lot of interests but my only hobby would be my boat when I have time, which is a pontoon boat docked at a local lake. I've got to be honest though, the BEST time of day is once the sun goes down. I love the moon making the water sparkle and I love the stars in the sky. Nothing better on a hot summer night than being in the middle of the lake. A sense of humor is important. I try to keep a sense of humor about things - it puts people at ease. No one wants to be around someone that can't find humor in situations. After all, laughter is the best medicine!I like to watch sports so if you're a sports fan don't fear that I will complain about sports. I'm not coordinated whatsoever so I won't play anything, but love to watch. I listen to country music mostly and some 80's or 90's music. I like to go out but don't think I'll expect a lot of that. My life is busy with school and work so just hanging out and watching movies or talking is great.Honesty is VERY important to me. Relationships need to be built on trust. I hate drama so if you like a drama queen then keep looking. A first date needs to be simple and it needs to be somewhere we can talk and get to know each other to see if there is a connection. Meeting at a restaurant for food and a drink or two is a good way to have a first date.

-rasied, beach bum in search of island traveling partner. I have been here, done this AK thing for nearly 25 years. Another 5 and I am officially on island time! Rum drinks, reggae/island music, scooter/bike travel only, flip-flops, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and swimsuits ***! At least part of the year... and unless I decide to go to travel some other part of the Continents. I want to see it all!My kids are here and have no plans to leave, so my life will remain here for home base, but otherwise, let's go for some fun in the sun!!Until then, I'm interested in live music, theater, movies, love to dance to reggae rhythms, dip netting, fishing, flowers in the summer, camping, road trips, day trips, hiking, reading, photography, bbq-ing year round, people and cultures, history... I've always loved to learn and can't imagine that will end just because I retire from teaching. I'd like to learn to ride 4-wheelers and snow machines. That looks like fun! Someday I'd like to......make love in a field of flowers...ride a bareback horse on a beach...stand among the ancient ruins of those who lived before us...swim with dolphins...ride a camel or elephant.....hmmmm, any suggestions? I am open to anything, but would prefer an opportunity to be busy in activity while still having opportunity for easy conversation... pool, darts, watching a game, playing a game, bowling, bingo (not just for old people! Haha!) walking...
