I work hard as an ER nurse and night shift clinical coordinator. I love my job,but it is not my life.(it does make me realize how short life can be and to just enjoy every minute of it that you can) My family always comes first. My children are now young adults working and gong to school with my oldest out on her own. No matter how old they are they will always be a priority for me. They are adopted and of different races so if that's not for you pass me on.I am just staring the process of looking for a home to purchase. I really like NJ, well, probably wouldn't have any complaints if someone warmed my car up for me every cold winter morning:) I am patient,easy going,reliable,generous and responsible. Looking for the same in a partner. I'm shy at first,but warm up quickly I can have a slightly warped sense of humor.....blame it on years of ER nursing.I like staying in shape and staying active. I run outside regularly and belong to a gym. LOVE the beach,rainy nights.sleeping in once in a while, Early fall mornings with a good cup of coffee, Halloween,pumpkin picking,apple picking. I love scary movies!! The kind that make you not want to be home alone! I like dressing up and going out for dinner or a drink somewhere out of the way, not too crowded. A place where we can actually hear each other talk and I don't feel like I could be the parent to most of the patrons.Also love casual stay at home times too. I like most types of music and enjoy good local bands. Going to the city is fun on occasion too. I never mind getting a little messy as long as I'm having fun:) Really most things we do are fun in the right company.Also love vacations exotic or different not necessarily the popular all inclusive resorts that are so popular,like stay-cations too they give me a chance to catch up on those things so easily put off, finding new places to explore as well as going to old favorites. So that's pretty much me in a few paragraphs. Did you ever have a really bad day and a random "Have a great day!" accompanied by a smile from just about anyone made life just a little bit lighter...if just for the moment?My mom always taught me that life is way too short to be miserable...and if I am, then I am the only one that can make things right. So, smile - and make it right...not just for yourself, but for everyone around you! I'm really just a hippie at heart (peace and love...war really blows...and the Beatles were geniuses).). But, I do have fond memories of my grandmother jitterbugging with my uncle in the living room when I was little. Put on some music from the 50's, and my mom and my aunt would pick up the pace. Can't deny those wonderful memories :-) There's nothing like an old fashioned Italian family dinner to put a smile on my face, as will wine & cheese and a day (or night) on the beach. Puttering around my house gives me pleasure; and making Sunday dinner is very special to me. No "chick flicks" for me - action or comedy rules!;The Notebook" or "The Twighlight Saga" any day of the week. Not a huge fan of TV (but, I really miss Denis Leary and "Rescue Me"); however, I will make time for any episode of "Tosh.O", "Friends", "Seinfeld", "Duck Dynasty", or anything on the Food Network.Other than that, life is too short to get caught sitting still - besides, my career requires me to have boat-loads of energy and put in some crazy hours! But, on the flip-side...the grim reaper can't catch a moving target!So, let's try to take life a little less serious, make our steps a little bit lighter, smile a whole lot more, and see where it takes us! Anything laid-back, unintimidating, and fun!
