Aroundmy apartment, I'd steal *** Sniffy, the cat I rescued from a shelter last year. Butwhen I put the lens cap back on, I'd like to have someone next to me to look back on all of these photos with and smile. . So, if you think you might be that guy, say Hi sometime. We would meet, share some laughs and see if we sense there is a connection. It would be nice to go somewhere fun and relaxing for a first date, comedy club, museum or go dancing. It truly is a wonderful time in life when one's children become independant and more responsible and you regain more of a sense of self. It is a time to rediscover the desires and passions that have been suppressed by so many of life's other responsibilties. For the record... I am looking for companionship and friendship with the option for long term. I am NOT looking for *friends with benefits*.. 'nuff said. I am not looking for perfection since, Lord knows... I am not. One can only hope for the tolerance of those imperfections. If you're wondering just what my imperfections are, perhaps you could ask. I don't mind telling. I do not camp, kayak, or canoe... I'll count the stars from the bow of a cruiser, the dock of a not so rustic cottage or behind the hotel rating. Don't get me wrong..... and can usually predict the weather by listening to a robin (this does not work well from October until March or apparently, when I have had a glass of wine) Back to the imperfections for a moment... I am not very good at predicting the weather. I am (perhaps, too) independent, emotionally and financially but I'm convinced that life is much happier when travelled with a companion... a friend... a confidant and a lover. Unfortunately, to some, I might be a bit of an English elitist. If you do not have the time to proof read or spellcheck your profile then you likely do not have time for me. Most of us are hoping to find a life partner and therefore should be willing to put such minimal time and effort into it. Sorry... but it's important to me.I have to wonder what some men are thinking when they post pictures of themselves holding up a dead fish. Do they honestly think that women find that attractive? In the words of a wise friend... Now...THAT's a chick magnet!!!!! It conjures up images of every man on meetville scrounging through boxes, in musty old basements, for old photos, and the one taken with a fish... (Update : November ***Newest proposed business adventure - Writing profiles for men looking for success on meetville. Under proposal only until such time that my own is successful.)And as always... I am wise enough to know that I am not wise, young enough to still be amazed, innocent enough to still believe in magic and hopeful enough to believe in the goodness of humanity. I can't imagine any possiblity of getting to know you in the time it would take to drink a coffee and I am not sure how tolerant I could be of the pimple-faced sixteen year old slopping the mop over the stilettos so... A patio... or piano bar... a beverage and all the time in the world. We could discuss the psychology of internet dating.

The best analogy would be to an M&M...hard candy coating protects the too soft/sensitive/delicate chocolate center (and yes the Green one is my favorite). Strong yet vulnerable, sweet yet not naive, serious yet oodles of fun, caring, passionate, devoted, very mushy, extremely loyal (enough, I sound like a golden retriever!!)
