"Every woman has the exact love life she wants." ...one of my favorite movie lines ever. (Not the movie, just the quote.) I totally believe this. :) If you don't have kids, you won't understand me. I've had many loves in my life, and I'm not looking for the next love of my life. For me, things like that don't need to be searched for, they just happen.Ok, I'm sorry, but this totally needs to be said: It's not that I don't believe in soul mates, but in my world that happens over time... you have dinner with someone and have a good time, enjoy each other's company, like each other and become friends, want to hang around often and bounce thoughts around, one day you realize how important the other person has become in your life and how much you value them, etc... (It's a process.) So, those of you who want to meet face to face to determine whether I'm "the one," I'M NOT.Love at first site? I'm certain that it happens for some, but I also think that it's linked to a personality type, and my personality is such that I'm much too cautious for that. If my demeanor (and humor) comes off as sarcastic, or even a little crude, please understand that I am parenting a house full of boys. Please put things in perspective... you don't know anything about me from the few paragraphs I wrote, and couple of photos I posted. You don't know about my past, my history with men, my current life, or where I'm coming from. This in no way means that I don't think you are a good man or some other woman isn't lucky to have you in HER life. For example, if I read your profile and you're clearly very driven, focused, disciplined and intense... well, I spent many years as a working single mom, I am flexible, laid back, I roll with whatever comes my way.... Or, if you're a sports fanatic, I respect that, but every time I have watched a game - baseball, football, basketball, etc. - within minutes I find my mind wandering and I'm staring at the wall daydreaming. So, I'd (pretend to) watch a game with you on occasion, or go to one once in a while, but I am NOT gonna magically become someone who enjoys it! First off, let me just say I am not trying to have sex with you. I know there are women on this site who are just trying to take advantage of a guy and use him for sex, but I am not one of them! That's not what I'm looking for. I will take you out for a drink, cup of coffee, or dinner first.... get to know you a little bit.... you know what I mean...Ok, seriously, I can get along with and have an enjoyable time with just about anyone. If you wanna have dinner and chat, as though we're coworkers having lunch together, let me know, that's a good place to start.

    I love all kinds of music, especially live (though I hardly get out to see a show anymore!)... it is absolutely one of my favorite things in life! I like to spend my free time doing outdoor activities... I'm out daily with my pooch and have always preferred being outdoors "doing" sports as opposed to working out inside a gym or watching sports on television.). I'm a life long skier, hiker, bicycler, and have tried snowboarding on and off for years but to my dismay it's not coming very easily. I've been meaning to get some rollerblades since moving downtown and have been hoping to get away for a surfing holiday for years. Scuba diving has been on my bucket list since I was 20 yrs.As I get older my life gets simpler and I like it that way - just taking life as it comes, one day at a time ...enjoying the journey. I love yoga and prefer doing it at home to a class, though I will still take a class from time to time. I discovered yoga at 16 years old and it's always been more of a spiritual part of my life rather than exercise. I enjoy a certain amount of quiet time every morning to read or write or mediate or create - love to cook & experiment with healthy food. I'm in love my work and I still love being a mom. I relish in these days I get to spend with my boys who are both in post secondary and still live with me. I know it won't be long till they are on their own so I'm soaking up the joy of their presence in my daily life as much as possible! I've been on and off this site several times over the last 7 years (since my marriage ended). Each time I try a new tactic. This time I am really just dropping my line in the pond to see if my curiosity gets tweaked by someone real. I'm sure you can appreciate that this site is time consuming and time is our most precious gift! I don't want to spend a lot of time on here. At our age we can be mature and responsible for our own feelings - so please don't take it personally if I don't reply to you, and don't keep sending me more messages. In real life if you made it obvious that I caught your eye and I wasn't interested, I could make an obvious signal back to you not to proceed with my body language. Unfortunately that body language online equates to *** *** I think there might be something there I will reply!
