No offense to those that are pros at this, but for being quite a liberal, I have some traditional values and online dating doesn't appeal to my inner goddess who believes you can't get the same things from a picture and words that you can get face to face....S. in the last 18 years, I've never been afraid to move around, but I also never thought it would be as challenging as it has been to meet people as I get older. A gentleman who is patient and communicates effectively, is aware of who he is, and knows what he is looking for... I am strong woman that is in touch with who I am and what I want. My deal breakers are discourteousness and disrespect, someone who is dishonest and does not hold themselves at a high regard, and someone who doesn't own his mistakes and doesn't know how to say I'm sorry. My friends and mother would describe me as a handful. I'm not sure to this day I fully understand what they mean. I can share that I have strong convictions, believe in courteousness and respect, yet am strong-willed and stubborn. I might pass through caution tape if I feel it is safe to do so. This drives my mother crazy! I wouldn't say I'm unsafe in anyway, but am not afraid to break some rules if I don't feel it would hurt anyone. If we were sitting around a table with friends they would tell you that I am a girly girl. I'm outgoing, grounded, have a good head on my shoulders, and I know no strangers. I try to find the positive in most situations and love to laugh. The one thing I hold dear is that everyone always knows what they get with me. Other things friends and family might share is that I have an intense side and can be over-analytical when in a state of uncertainty. I am very aware of my feelings and typically of those around me. I am as equally energetic and fun-loving as I am direct, and being the middle of three girls creates a wee bit competitive side... ;) I don't mind a good debate and believe conflict can be positive (if we are both effective communicators who respect one anothers viewpoint). I love playing all card games, dominoes, board games, going dancing, traveling, shooting pool, NFL (Redskins! whoop, whoop!), and, of course, kissing... ;) I have been wanting to go to a gun range and learn to shoot. I've also wanted to learn to box a bit, but I'm certain that would be hysterical to watch... Not a big dare devil, but not afraid to try new things.I would like to meet someone who would want to go to the gym together occasionally and take walks together, and have the same mentality as I do about staying healthy. I am, by no means, a health nut. I enjoy a good meal, but also know that I am not someone that can eat what I want without balancing it with a workout. :)If any of this intrigues you, and you have the qualities I am looking for, shoot me a note. I don't have expectations on a first date. I go into every situation as if I am meeting a friend. It would be great to have chemistry and find someone that I can't stop thinking about, but, if it doesn't happen, I hope to meet a nice person that could very possibly become a friend or someone with which to network. So as far as the first date goes, surprise me. I like anything from watching NFL football to having a drink to wine tastings and picnics to strolling on the beach.
