About Me

I'm a outgoing & independent woman. I like to stay busy & usually have something planned ahead of time. I enjoy my life, but I'm missing that special someone to do things with. I have a very secure job in the medical field that I love. I've been helping fix broken hearts for ***years. I'm on call some & some of the hours can get hectic. But I work hard so I can play hard!! Took almost 4 weeks off during this summer!! Very devoted Mom, my son is first in my life. He is 13 & is a wonderful young man. I have him full time & there is no drama with his father because he decided not to be involved in his life. We got divorced when my son was 3 months old. My son is involved in Boy Scouts, he just got his Star rank. So I'm actively involved in Scouting, it is great to watch these young men learn things. That also means I get "kid free weekends" when he is gone camping & doing activities!! :)I like to watch & go to hockey games, Blackhawks & IceHogs. We are season ticket holders for the IceHogs. Very happy that hockey has started again!!! I'm also a Cubs & Bears fan. Some of my other interests are: camping, biking, working out, watching sports, traveling, & spending time with my son. Love to spend time outside & I'm not afraid to get dirty. Some of my favorite places to visit....; Taking pictures is a favorite hobby, nature & sporting events. Love to work around my yard, I have a green thumb.Love all kinds of music.....besides rap. Depends on my mood, I can be listening to country, 80s music, classic rock, etc.I'm looking for a family man who enjoys sports & the outdoors. Communication, honesty, loyalty, & trust are some of the qualities I'm looking for in my partner. If you have kids that is great!!! I don't want to physically have anymore!!!     I would describe myself as a fun and easy going person. I am a little quiet at first... but my friends would not describe me like that at all! I like to see things in a positive way rather than negative...it's not part of my personality.I listen to all kinds of music. My favorite is R and B, Sole, Rock, Pop, 80's, 90's. If you are beside me in the car then I am most likely singing to one song or another. I love going for walks, exploring new places and going for nice drives on the weekends discovering new places. I enjoy dinner out, but also like staying in and cooking as well. However breakfast out is one of my weakness'..what can I say ;-) I like visiting museums, live theatre, going to the movies or just hanging out at a book store discovering new books. I enjoy my career but do not live to work but rather work to live, but I am happy doing what I do during the day. Exploring new places or revisiting old ones. I like to visit and experieince all the non tourist areas. I want to keep on traveling to new places and seeing all there is to see in the world. Family and friends are really important to me. My closest friends are like family to me. I try to spend time with them as much as possible.Of course there is the most important person to me my son and I am proud and lucky to be called Mommy.It is hard to narrow down what kind of person I am looking for.....we all go through different experiences that shape us. I consider myself kind and smart so I'd like to meet someone with similar traits. I am looking for a connection of not just love but common interests, direction and communication.     I'm trying to think of something original or catchy but..I'm just me. I like football (Go Chiefs!) both college & I love to cook.I enjoy classic rock and some country, racing of all kinds, I dislike wearing a ton of makeup or jewelry, I'm not high maintenance in the least, but that doesn't mean I sit around in sweats all day either. I like to laugh and can be sarcastic, have a quick wit and will keep you on your toes!Give me a long walk in the woods, fishing, long car rides to no where in particular, antique stores, museums, historic places, hole in the wall diners, any kind of festival with food on a stick and I'm happy. I have cats, all rescues, so if you are allergic or don't like them we wouldn't be a good match.Next question to answer, 5'4.***lbs. Been at the same job 8 years but am now retired, have my own place. Also my age is wrong on here and meetville won't let me fix it, I'm 43.. I do have peripheral neuropathy in my feet/hands now but it's no big deal. It is a nerve illness and is not visible except on bad days when i need a cane to walk..I mainly drop a lot of things and can't open jars grrr LOLI have a big heart and am tired of it getting stomped on. I'm looking for a man with morals, honest, open communicator, affectionate, and giving. Whatever we come up with that we are both comfortable with.
