About Me

I'm generally a happy person and feel very grateful for all the blessings in my life, but still looking for the blessing of a good man...I try to appreciate or at least learn from everything life serves up (the bad as well as the good). I am interested in many things, including all sorts of music, yoga, good wine & food, sailing, hiking, reading, museums, beaches, traveling, discussing philosophy/spirituality and I'm always open to new experiences. I have, and appreciate in others, a good sense of humor, an out-of-the-box way of thinking, the ability to have an interesting conversation, a strong sense of integrity and honesty, a certain amount of annoyance with superficiality and people who don't think for themselves. I'm looking for a solid partnership - someone who'll support my growth as a person and let me support theirs. I have a tendency to think too much, so someone who's occasionally silly is probably good for me. Fun is important, as is lots of passion and physical chemistry.I tend to be most attracted to men who are intelligent, confident and well spoken. My ideal match should be similar enough to me so that we can communicate but not so similar that there's no 'fire.' I like a little bit of sparring every now and then, a little bit of wickedness. At the same time, (cliche alert!) we should be able to sit back by the fire on an autumn day and read the Times together pleasantly, too. It's really a matter of balance. Someone who likes to sail would be great. I prefer guys who aren't of small build (and no I'm not referring to THAT), I just like a guy that I feel like a little woman next to, somebody huggable and with whom I can roughhouse every now and then. No atheists/agnostics, please. A first date should be somewhere we can talk (without having to shout) and get to know each other a bit.

    I am not out to be a serial dater. My focus is generally on one person at a time. I work in a profession with a lot of women, I've learned from watching the men, it is best to keep a low profile. So I would not consider myself a drama queen. I don't do the "tent" camping thing either, ha, ask me about the last time I did though. My friend still makes fun of me for that. For exercise, I enjoy swimming in a pool, by myself, with lanes, I'm not great at it, but I do like it or water aerobics.About who I'd like to meet... Generally, I like the clean cut look, I'm not trying to fly about on a broom, but that's just what I tend to like. If you prefer long haired, blue-eyed blondes, I don't stand a chance in that world, obviously, and happy fishing, there are plenty out there! Based on my height, you could be 5'5" or 6 feet tall, either way, if you're taller or the same height, not a big problem unless you are about 6'5", and even then it wouldn't bother me. I am probably not the gal who will brave ***degree or below zero weather to see (anything) but much less to see a team play, that's why they televise it, and also why they now make DVR's.Spitting or chewing are four letter words to me. I have two boys, no thank you. I am also not a huge fan of highly visible tattoos. I respect your choice to do what you want with your own body, I am just not an advocate of it. Something small and on your upper arm, chest, or hip is okay. So if after reading all of this you haven't fallen asleep and feel that you might actually like to go out please write.
