Hello, I'm looking for a long-term relationship with a Christian man.I'm a homebody, like to bake more than I like to cook, but am good at both. I love kids, I used to be a girl scout leader until my daughter retired. I like to catch up with old friends, hang out with my daughter, watch tv, and play Scrabble and other board games. I like to go to the movies, go out to eat, and window shop. I like to go to furniture stores and look around. I like to look at new homes for sale. I love to sing. I was a lead singer in a cover band a couple years ago. I've sung in the church choir, and break out into song while doing my household chores. I enjoy watching American Idol, The Middle, Modern Family, Raising Hope, and Psych. I like most music, but classic alternative music is my favorite. I draw portraits, and paint with oils in the impressionistic style. I am a Bible-believing Christian. I am trying to raise my 16 year old daughter the best that I can on my own. She is a very bright girl.My favorite movie of all time is It's a Wonderful Life. My tastes run from Comedy to Horror.I'm a very funny and quirky woman, I want a guy that I can be goofy with.I like bookish types, artists, writers, musicians, and good-looking nerds. I'd like to meet a funny, quick-witted man who is honest with me and understanding.I want a Christian man.There is nothing more attractive to me than a man who loves God. I rarely frequents bars but if I'm there, it's for the karaoke. I don't like foul language, and expect to be treated with dignity and respect. Raising my daughter with similar morals and values is important to me. I want her to be surrounded by supportive people, positive influences.

    Okay, so I have been on this dating site for awhile now, and honestly have not put much effort into dating. So although I have kep a post I have not really been dating.... I have been single for a number of years now, but initially had very young children and did not date at all for quite some time. I am a single mom who works fulltime and has an extremely active lifestyle. So, what it comes down to is that about 2 years ago I realized that my kids were getting a little older and did not need me as much anymore, but then I did not know how to 'date' and incorporate someone into my 'already formed, overly scheduled, and more importantly comfortable routine'... and what did not not help was that I live a happy life. When you are happy and comfortable sometimes you get lazy about taking 'effort' to add something new... but, I realize, that eventhough I am happy with my life, I do really truly want to share that life with someone, a friend and companion ... so.... yes, way way more than you probably ever wanted to know... but there it is... I am not on here to casually date, I have never been a casual dater, my life if full and happy, and although I see alot of 'friends' things and casual dating, that is not for me... does that mean that I am wanting to just 'jump into a relationship'.. nope... I still want to get to know someone, but I do want to meet people who are also serious about wanting to meet the right person and find someone to share life with and grow old together. I love mountains, snow and skiing, rock climbing, hiking, but i also love the smell of the ocean and sound of the waves, and would like to meet someone that is also wanting to get out of the house and explore the world, even if it is just down the block. I think a first date is great if you are happy to be there and when you leave you want to see them again. So therefore, what plans you have or where, really end up not being that important.
