Well for starters, I'm a nurse, a Christian, and a single mom of 2 (almost grown) kids. The older they get, the more time I have and I would like to find someone to do things with and have fun. I am looking for long term and would eventually like to get married, however, those things take time and I'm in no hurry. I want to take my time getting to know someone, what they like, and how we click. I'm very laid back, optimistic, drug / addiction free, outgoing, attentive (like to give and receive), happy, responsible, funny, and I like to enjoy life. I don't need someone to complete me, but I want someone to compliment me and enjoy life with me. I'm not interested in anyone who is just looking for hook-ups or casual sex (although sex is very enjoyable with the right person). In addition to this, I'm not interested in anyone who is jobless, married, separated, addicted to anything, depressed, Bipolar, and is not seeking the same type of relationship I am. Life is short, I know what I want, and I won't settle. I love to conversate w/ someone who is intelligent and has a sense of humor, I like to do most outdoor things, grilling with friends / family, movies (in or out), anything involving the water (I am scuba certified and would love to do that more), hot tub w/ a glass of wine, most music, walking / hiking, dancing, singing (didn't say I was good ) kissing w/ someone who enjoys it, and I'm always open to new ideas. Other questions? Ask, I'll tell anything ya want to know :) Somewhere quiet with a glass or two of wine where we can talk and really get to know each other.

Before moving here, though, I'd been to the 48 contiguous states in a car;; On some of these trips I stayed in huts; some luxury resorts. I love to camp and backpack and sleep under the stars; but I also appreciate ***threadcount sheets and room service. I enjoy trying new foods and listening to other languages; and I really like seeing how normal people live their lives all over the world. When not traveling around, I snow ski (though I'm not as brave as I used to be), onsen, snorkel, hike, and spend a lot of time trying new restaurants and bars. I'm not a complete foodie snob, but I do thoroughly enjoy good beer and wine and great food. Just this month I've been to a cheese tasting and a molecular dining restaurant. I am a coop member of Black Star Brewing and a frequent happy hour participant. There's little better than a great margarita or Mexican martini outside as the sun goes down, with a group of friends!Being a native Austinite, I like your typical hippie/Texan combinations of things -;;;;; driving through the Hill Country looking at wildflowers; etc. Too many foods, movies, music and authors to list.I feel I need to add that I'm just this side of a tree hugging hippie. My best friends are gay; I believe in global warming; I think all people deserve free health care; and that you're closer to God when you're out in nature. I'm not on here to be converted, chastised, or cussed at. Please refrain from *** if one of these is your goal. Hmmmmm. . . a great first date? I'm pretty easy in that regard.

Only those with a great sense of humour should keep reading. Not because I'm going to say anything particularly hilarious, but because that quality is definitely at the top of my list. I'm shy at first, but that wears off eventually. If we ever actually meet, I promise to say hilarious things then. I'm an actor and a teacher; I love kids, and though I won't have any of my own I'd be happy to meet someone who does. I'm adventurous and I love to travel, whether it's backpacking in Europe or lying on the beach. Although I'm not going to lie, I'm much better at the lying on the beach part. I'll try almost anything once, except bungee jumping, that just seems like an invitation to chronic back problems. I used to be a volunteer firefighter, and though I never got the chance to actually fight a fire, I did get to climb a ***foot ladder and carry volunteer dead people around on my back - not at the same time, thank god. I read a lot, and enjoy going to the movies or the theatre. My dad was a jazz musician, so I grew up with a very high respect for music of all kinds. I play the piano & guitar and I sing. I'm equally happy to go out and do something fun, or just stay home and have a good meal and watch a film. I do yoga and take dance classes, and I played Ultimate for 4 years. That's Ultimate Frisbee, which is a real sport, I swear. I'm no crazy health nut, but it is important to me that a guy takes care of himself and stays in shape, without being a slave to the gym.; decency and respect towards others; an adventurous spirit; being a good listener; honesty; and lots and lots of money. Ok, fine... scratch that last one. ;) I think an activity is fun - bowling, mini-putt, a walk on the mountain.
