Favorite Music-I like all types but metal, hair bands and some country are my favorite. I enjoy nature and being outside. long walks, roller-blading, kayaking, white-water rafting, I like to be in or near the water. I like amusement parks, antiques and garage sales, coffee shops, regional market, live music venues, festivals, movies, horseback riding, camping and gardening. I enjoy the simple things in life like going for a ride in the country with some good music and the windows down and then going for ice cream or sitting on a dock watching the sunset. Sometimes I just like entertaining friends at home with a cookout. I try to eat healthy and therefore I cook quite a bit. I am continuing my education towards a Bachelors degree in Nursing. I have a black lab that is my closest companion, and I love our daily walks-(its good for both of us). I also enjoy volunteering as often as I can with various organizations. I just got my motorcycle license this past fall and hope to be riding before the end of the summer, as soon as I find a bike. I own my home and do a lot of DIY projects, I'd like to think I'm fairly handy and self-sufficient but by no means an expert. I am very independent and would choose to do things alone as opposed to being around people whose company I don't enjoy. I like people who know how to communicate and carry on a conversation but are comfortable enough with themselves to also have times of silence where we just enjoy being together. I would probably prefer a first meeting to be low-key like a coffee shop or park that allows for conversation. If we make a connection then we can go on a date but there's no point in one or both being obligated to sit through a long, awkward dinner with each other if you didn't hit it off to begin with.

Active, fun and energetic, I love the outdoors, most sports and art. I can appreciate all music as I feel it speaks to the soul, my favorites being, alternative, older jazz, rap, classical, and techno dance. I have been known to enjoy country and show tunes as well. All music has its place. I enjoy healthy cooking, walk/runs and helping with animals. I like movies and love to read. I like to play games, I'm not a talented athlete at all but I try anything. I work hard as a nurse and have found it so rewarding to truly help people each day. I love history and wish I had the opportunity to travel. There is a wide world out there and I would love to nurse over seas and volunteer. Looking forward to getting to know new people. For a first date I would say over a nice dinner followed by listening to some music and then go for a bike ride or a walk. We should be able and get to know each other. Quality time is much more fulfilling than expensively sought out venues.
