I'm a kindhearted, single girl living in this great big convoluted city. I must admit I am a bit of a nerd, but hopefully you think I'm a cute nerd! I am a bit shy until I get to know someone better. I am a thick curvy girl, a size 12, so if you're into skinny chicks then we are not a match. ;) I'm free-spirited soul who prefers to see the world through rose-coloured glasses, but I can also be strong and decisive when necessary. I am hardworking in my career and work keeps me busy and challenged. I love to learn and enjoy intellectual conversations with smart people. However, I also have a very random, quirky and sometimes dark sense of humour. I am totally fascinated by psychology, true crime stories and the paranormal. I have not had many significant paranormal experiences myself, unfortunately, but I love hearing stories from those who have. I simply adore indie and foreign films, especially those of the horror genre. I love cooking various ethnic cuisines, in particular Thai and Indian. I have a big beautiful dog who is a lot of fun. I love curling up to read a good book on a rainy day just as much as I love hitting the road for a spontaneous road trip on a sunny day. I love traveling and have so many countries on my bucket list that I can't wait to see. I am not in to the club/bar scene, I never have been. I am more of a pub goer, and only on rare occasion. Im a bit of a homebody. I don't serial date, I only date occasionally when I meet someone I find truly special and interesting, whom I would enjoy getting to know more. I am not in a rush to dive head first into anything too quickly; meeting casually as friends first to see if there is a connection and physical attraction/chemistry and seeing how it develops naturally is more my style. What I look for in a man is someone who is masculine and confident, a true leader who is not afraid to take charge, but who is also respectful, loving and compassionate. Someone who is ambitious with clear life goals. I'm a very girly-girl, feminine, soft and nurturing and so I am looking for my matched opposite... Someone who is educated and successful and knows his path in life. A man I respect and admire with whom I can share interesting conversations and silly, playful moments of just being. Loyalty, honesty, reliability and integrity are an absolute must, as these are traits that I strongly possess.     LOVE being outdoors! Anything that involves being outside makes me happy. I love to fish, and sometimes I go camping by myself. I have three great kids, that live with me, so I stay pretty busy. I'm not one to sit still during the day. If the suns up, there's always something that needs to be done. When I do settle down at night, it's sitting outside looking up, not in front of the tv. I enjoy cooking outside and yardwork. I like to laugh a lot and I can be downright clumsy at times, which always makes for a good story! I have no problem laughing at myself!     Hi!I'm a single mom of a teenage daughter. Anyone who has a teenager knows that means I'm a taxi driver, chef, bank and therapist all rolled into one! I also help other teenagers by means of a very active position within the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. Fitness and healthy eating are important to me. I like to spin, do yoga and complete functional training. I also enjoy riding my bike and walking to the lake. The water is my happy place. Swimming, boating and walking along the beach speak to my inner water nymph. I won't claim to be a great cook but I do know my way around the kitchen. Another one of my favourite places is sitting at the table with family or friends catching up over a meal with a bottle of wine.I really enjoy all types of music. I love songs with a good beat that we can dance to! I usually spend the little amount of down time that I have watching movies or with my nose buried in a book. I have a new love for travelling after an amazing trip to the UK that I took with my mom. I also enjoy spending time in the Kawarthas with my family. Sunday afternoons are the perfect opportunity to go cruising down the parkway.I am looking for someone who understands what being a parent is all about but also wants to have some adult time.
