About Me

Here's me in a nutshell: I am the mom of two incredible boys, ages 11 and 6. They are my world. I am also an elementary school teacher at a Christian school. I love my job. I can't imagine doing anything else. I am a bit quirky, I can be a little goofy...ok, sometimes a lot goofy, I'm a mom and the teacher of children, it just comes with the territory!! :-) I believe that every single day that I open my eyes and put my feet on the floor is a gift, full of brand new mercies from God. My faith is my foundation and the source of my strength and happiness. I believe in forgiving people for their mistakes and putting the past behind you. I believe in working hard and playing hard. I believe in laughing at yourself...if you don't, someone else will! I believe it's ok to cry, and I do...not just when I'm sad but often tears of joy. I am passionate, romantic, fiercely loyal, more than a little stubborn, a bit more clumsy than graceful, always have the best of intentions even when things go completely wrong, a thinker almost to a fault but in the end will be led more by my heart, and perhaps most importantly...I sneeze really loud :-)I am not 20 years old. I don't have the body of a 20-year-old. I am not a stick figure. I have never been a stick figure. I don't want to be a stick figure. I will never be a stick figure. I am 40 years old. I am curvy and soft. A little curvier and softer than when I was 20 years old...I have proudly carried 2 babies in my tummy since then. I do take care of myself. All of my pictures are very current. What you see is what you get. My ideal man is compassionate, has a tender side, not only has all of his teeth but they are in the right places, has nice hands, is kind to my children (and all children), can be serious when necessary but embraces his playful side, will sit on the floor and play cards and board games with me and understand that I WILL gloat when I beat him :-)I'm not looking to rush into a serious relationship. I would simply like someone to spend time with...to enjoy each other's company. I enjoy dinners by the water, days on the beach, nights on the beach!, going to football games, live music, dancing, grilling at home and watching movies on the couch...it's not so much about what you do as about enjoying being together. I love the sun and hanging out at the beach on a hot day. I equally love thunderstorms and rainy days. Lightning excites me! I like wine, a fine Scotch, but sometimes i like a cold beer. Although I prefer to drink only on occasions. I am physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy! with no hang-ups with former S/O. I like to get up early, but i equally like to stay up late-- lol, it's kind of hard to do both. Maybe, I just embrace the dichotomies of life.....lol, i just thought of that right now. I believe in yin and yang (here is a secret: i have a small tattoo of yin/yang on my wrist; in which well, i am the yin....and well, i'm still trying to find my yang in life...) I suppose maybe I just appreciate the whole effort for balance in life. For every negative experience, I believe you can walk away w/at least 1 positive lesson learned. The quality of our life depends on the glasses we view it through. We create our own reality based on how we choose to perceive our experiences. BOTTOM LINE (ME): i'm a sassy, fun-loving, funny/witty, clever, PASSIONATE, sensual, CLASSY, TENDER HEARTED, and a firey spirit always on the move. i'm straightforward, don't play games in the arena of hearts/relationships, honest, and have definitely lived an adventurous life!
