I am independent, honest, fun loving, and even keeled. I have a job I find very rewarding, enjoyable and allows me room for growth. I love to have challenges and things to work towards in my life both professionally and personally. There are so many things to experience in the world and I want to keep trying new things, meeting new people and having new experiences. When it comes to having the choice of laughing or getting mad about things when they get tough....I always choose humor! You never know what life brings so I think you have to make the best of each day and make it what you want. I am really working on having a good balance of work and life.I have a great life, great family and friends. I feel that life has been pretty good to me thus far and I trust that there are many more great things to come....I am pretty easy going and can adapt to many situations.Sharing my life with that special someone would be great, it is the missing piece to things for me at this point. I am looking for someone who is active with a healthy lifestyle, easy going, with a good sense of humor, upfront and honest. Also, someone who is warm and compassionate, wants to share their life with that special someone and wants to make the most of each day and life.I love to be outside and I live a healthy lifestyle, eating healthy and getting activity in whenever I can. I also enjoy having some down time and staying in for a cozy evening cooking together and drinking wine.....there is always a time to watch movies too :)If this sounds like we might have fun together don't be shy, drop me a note....and see....

I’m not on a volunteer fire department anymore but my days at work are still spent putting out fires and herding cats - the glorious life of a project manager. Creating and maintaining a work life balance has become first and foremost for me after experiencing the dark side of putting career before life. I’ve been actively turning my priorities around and am incredibly happy with my community of friends, where I’m at right now and more especially where I’m going. A typical day for me consists of biking to work, tending ‘the farm’ (aka my community garden plot), doing something contemplative or creative, and getting my heart rate up. Have gotten into road cycling this year.I’m equal parts city mouse and country mouse. For me a good weekend is spent with friends, family, or someone special, and at the end of the day may include rinsing the sand from my wet suit, brushing the snow from my skiis, zipping up the tent door or leaving the dishes from a home made meal for the morning because it would just ruin the moment to do them any sooner. While I strive to not judge, if you have a week's supply of pizza pops in your fridge, can’t be bothered with your blue box, think meditation and yoga is crazy or blasphemous, and have the next big UFC fight marked on your calendar there is an extremely good chance that I’m not for you. And I guarantee that self-taken picture of your biceps in front of your bathroom mirror is more impressive to you than it is to me.My life is an adventure of my creation, and I’m not afraid of taking big risks….like say, starting a business on the side, moving to another country, or figuring out what the contents of my fridge might look like in a pan. I’ve got a list of amazing experiences I want to have in my life and I’ll do them alone if I have to but I think life is better shared. Looking for someone to join my party. I have a not-so-secret loathing for the 'meet me' feature. If you strike my fancy I'll write you an actual message and always appreciate the same in return. Hot drinks are a fave. Walk and talk? Ride around on the False Creek Ferries....

Woman. 38 years old. Zodiac sign: Virgo.
Looking for: man. In age: 35-45
I take great pride in being a shark on the pool table and like to go dancing with my friends when we can make that magic happen. In my quiet time I like to read non-fiction new age books, go walking, visit with friends and family, and crochet. I used it to quit smoking 9 years ago and still use it to keep my hands busy.I never watch TV and only have cable at all because it's cheaper to watch hockey at home than at the bar twice a week. I love talking cuz talking's my favourite and I really like to get into the good stuff over a bottle of wine. I love people, am fascinated by them and have a positive outlook in general, with a sick sense of humor that I don't apologize for. I'll take the shirt off my back for a stranger if they ask nicely, and have no tolerance for unkindness and selfishness, although I do think it's important to love yourself and put yourself first, or you're no good to anyone. My family and friends are the most important people in my life and I am known for my hugs which I hand out willingly to absolutely anyone who wants one. Hugs feel good, they're (usually) free and they heal - you just never know who needs a good healing.I love to laugh, laughing at myself most often, but if you make fun of me too much, I will get pissy because hey - no one likes a bully. I've learned that what I do for a living is far less important to me than it having merit and contributing to the greater good, but I do enjoy the satisfaction of achieving life-altering goals and have done so, and have failed, more than once.Enough about me, let's talk about you. YOU are easy going, funny and like to shoot the shit. You can take the piss, but don't do it to over-compensate for your insecurities, and you certainly don't cry like a girl when someone takes the piss outa you. You still open doors for the ladies and are in no way offended by sexual innuendo. I'd absolutely LOVE it if you knew the difference between ‘their’, ‘they're’ and ‘there’, but will settle for legible penmanship and sharp wit. You don't have all the answers, but you know yourself pretty good and have goals. You shower daily and show up for work even when you've had too much the night before because paying your bills is at least in the middle-top area of your priority list...I'm kidding about Cher, but I do like Moonstruck and Mask). You've got the music in your soul and can hold your own in a social atmosphere, but like to spend time alone with me because gazing into my eyes and making me smile is your most favourite thing ever. ;) I prefer the unintimidating casual approach, like meeting at a local pub or casual dining restaurant, have a wee chat and meal, go for a barefoot walk in the grass...whatever pleases us. We don't need to spend money to have fun.
