About Me

Some things about me...I have a great group of friends, some since I was 3 years old. I love my job, I’ve been teaching in the same district for 13 years, but have learned over the years to leave it at work and only take work home when I absolutely have to. I love to watch the Yankees either on TV or at the stadium. I enjoy watching movies but yet have seemed to miss so many. I love Soduko, word puzzles, and other logic type games, even more if I can play them on my iphone or ipad. I hate to read, yes I said it, I'm a teacher and I dislike reading books, although I would NEVER tell my students that! :) I am the type of girl who enjoys sitting at a local dive bar watching a game or listening to a band as well as getting dressed up and going to a fancy restaurant, just as much as I do staying home and watching a movie with a bottle of wine. I love to be outside in the warm weather, whether it be going for a walk with my dog, sitting on my deck relaxing, going to a restaurant you can eat outside at, or going to the beach. I'm pretty easy going, I'll try anything at least once, well within reason. I'm not much of a risk taker so if you ask me to go sky diving my answer will be probably be no, but I'll be your cheerleader from the ground and take pictures of you!What am I looking for? Someone who wants a relationship. I am not looking for an online penpal, I don't want another texting buddy, if this is what you are looking for, please move on. Don't get me wrong, I love texting and think it's a great thing, just think it's a horrible tool when it comes to online dating. I am looking for someone who wants the real thing. Someone to come home to at night, cuddle on the couch while watching tv, dinners out or in, you get the idea...point being we need to be together. Not saying all the time but more than a texting relationship. He should also be...Someone who respects me and values me as a person, likes me for who I am and doesn't want me to be someone else, is looking for a partner and an equal, has strong family/friend values, is a hard-worker, likes to laugh, and can go with the flow. I'm not much of an arguer, so if that's your thing, I'm not for your. I'll stand my ground and express my opinion, but I'm not going to scream and yell....it gives me a headache and makes my head spin! I'm not going to say that we need to like the same things because the truth of the matter is that if your flexible, know how to compromise, and like to try new things, we don't need to have the same things in common. Not to bring up the past, but I spent a long time ***years) in the wrong relationship and realize now that although we don't need to like the same things, we must have the same goals. You can be flexible in a relationship and learn to like new things but in the end if we both don't want the same things it’s not going to work. Having said that, I would like to meet someone who wants to settle down and have a family. I know at my age, some may think that I don't want to have kids, but like I said, I spent too much time with the wrong person, so I would like to be able to give it a shot with the right person. :) Grabbing a drink...something relaxing and quick :)

    I absolutely love the weather here & enjoy going to the beach whenever I can. I have a lot of different interests... I never know if I am interested in something until it presents itself but love to always learn about new things. from scientific stuff to silly stuff : ) What can I say... sometimes it's a big world & sometimes it's a small place. I am sure you are probably not going to be interested in all the same things that i am. Unless, of course.. you like to do "girly" stuff. I do think being healthy & fit are important. I love to run at Okeeheelee & take in the nature while I'm there but can honestly say if you are looking for someone to keep up with you while you train for the next Ironman... well, that's not me : ) I love to laugh (mostly at myself) & enjoy being around positive people who try to grasp the bigger picture of life. We all have our not-so-spectacular days but I always try to look on the bright side & if there isn't one ; ) I look for the lesson in the moment so I can grow as a person. I have one child who is almost 17. Even though, he is not a little child anymore, I respect that I am his mother first. Something to keep in mind if you would like to date me ; ) Anyways, hmm...
